Sick Leave for Full-Time Employees. 13.02 (a) Effective the first of the month following the date that this Agreement is ratified by both the Union and the Hospital, the Hospital will assume total responsibility for providing and funding a short term sick leave plan for full- time employees at least equivalent to that described in the most current Hospitals of Ontario Disability Income Plan (HOODIP 1992) brochure. The Employer will pay seventy-five (75) percent of the billed premium towards coverage of eligible full-time employees under the long term disability portion of the Plan (HOODIP 1992 or equivalent plan). The Employee will pay the balance of the xxxx premium through payroll deductions. For the purpose of transfer to the short-term portion of the disability program, full-time employees on the payroll as of the effective date of transfer with three (3) months or more of service shall be deemed to have three (3) months of service. Sick Leave for Full-Time Employees. Each full-time employee will be given six (6) days at 66.667%, effective January 1, 2017 at seventy-five percent (75%), of regular pay for pre-scheduled shifts missed as a result of sickness during the first three (3) days of such sickness commencing January 1 of each year, provided the employee fully co-operates regarding rules for approval and in providing the Home with proof of such sickness. It is understood that there is no carry forward of such sick leave and that any misuse of such benefit shall result in disciplinary action and will disqualify an employee from payment. Any excessive use of sick leave weekly indemnity may be handled in with non- disciplinary measures.
Sick Leave for Full-Time Employees. Full-time Employees are entitled to earn one and one half (1½) sick days per month. These sick days shall not accumulate beyond the end of the calendar year.
Sick Leave for Full-Time Employees. This provision will be effective on implementation of the new leave programs. Full-time employees shall receive 80 hours of sick leave on January 1 of each calendar year. Employees who commence employment after January 1 will receive a prorated allocation.

Related to Sick Leave for Full-Time Employees

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Full-Time Employees A full-time employee is one engaged as such and whose ordinary hours of work average 38 hours per week. The employee’s ordinary hours of work will not exceed an average of 38 hours per week over a 4 week period. Although the actual hours of work may vary from week to week, with some weeks greater than 38 hours and other weeks less, the employee will not work in excess of 152 ordinary hours in any four week period.

  • Permanent Full-Time Employees Pay and benefits will be computed on a monthly pay status basis.

  • Regular Full-Time Employee A regular full-time employee is defined as one in respect of whom there is a regular schedule of work providing 70 hours of work biweekly.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • Less-Than-Full-Time Employees (a) For less-than-full-time employees (including part-time, seasonal, and intermittent employees), who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in the month, the Employer shall contribute a prorated amount of the contribution for full-time employees. This prorated contribution shall be based on the ratio of paid regular hours to full-time hours to the nearest full percent, except that less-than-full-time employees who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in a month shall receive no less than one-half (½) of the contribution for full-time employees.

  • Full-Time Employee A full-time employee shall be an employee who is normally scheduled to work not less than forty (40) hours per week, consisting of five (5) eight (8) hour working days.

  • Full-Time Employment A full-time Employee is one who is engaged to work 38 hours per week or an average of 38 hours per week pursuant to clause 26(a) of the Agreement.

  • Per Diem Employees Section 1. A per diem employee is one that works on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the provisions of this article. Per diem employees will not be guaranteed to work a specific number of hours or a specific number of shifts per time block.

  • Full-Time Employees Only Employees will be allowed to participate in health and welfare benefits plans during the year of the leave, but the full cost of such plans will be borne by the employees. Contributions to the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan will be in accordance with the Plan. Notwithstanding the above, employees will not be eligible to participate in the disability income plan during the year of the leave.
