Months of Service definition

Months of Service means the total months of combined service used to determine benefits under the system, except service added to determine disability benefits or service otherwise prohibited from being used to determine retiree health benefits under KRS 16.505 to 16.652 or 61.510 to 61.705 shall not be counted as "months of service." For current and former employees of the Council on Postsecondary Education who were employed prior to January 1, 1993, and who earn at least fifteen (15) years of service credit in the Kentucky Employees Retirement System, "months of service" shall also include vested service in another retirement system other than the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System sponsored by the Council on Postsecondary Education.

Months of Service means a Participant’s completed full Months of full-time employment with the Company measured from the most recent anniversary of his/her date of hire by the Company. For purposes of this definition, a Participant will receive credit for an additional full Month of Service in excess of the number of full Months (of 30 days each) of full-time employment with the Company to the extent he or she has at least an additional 16 days of full-time employment with the Company.

Examples of Months of Service in a sentence

If such an employee is off the payroll for one hundred sixty (160) consecutive hours, his or her vacation shall be as provided in the preceding paragraph of this Section 16.8 (Prorated Vacation due to Extended Absence, Reemployment or Reinstatement) or Section 16.9 (Payment of Vacation upon Termination or Extended Leave after Six Months of Service).
Service seniority shall be accrued by hourly paid employees by actual hours worked, to be calculated as follows: Months of Service = Total Hours Divided by 154 rounded to the next highest month.
Vacations with pay shall be granted annually to all full-time employees based upon the following schedule: Earned Working Working Days Months of Service Hours per Month per Year Max.
Effective August 1, 1997 the calculation of service seniority from that date forward for hourly paid employees shall be: Months of Service = Total Hours Divided by 151.67 rounded to the next highest month.
To determine the number of whole years of an individual's period of service, nonsuccessive periods of service are aggregated and less than whole year periods of service (whether or not consecutive) are aggregated on the basis that twelve (12) Months of Service (thirty days are deemed to be a month in the case of the aggregation of fractional months) or three hundred sixty-five (365) days of service equal a whole Year of Service.

Months of Service means, with respect to a given Performance Period, each completed month of employment service by a Senior Officer following the grant date of an award under the LTIP Plan.
