Professional Leadership. 1.1. Works in partnership with senior nursing, medical, pharmacy and allied health staff to deliver a safe, evidence-based, well-governed medicines management service, utilising and implementing technological advances where appropriate.

Holds a full and current teacher registration, or a provisional registration pending full registration. Holds a NZQA recognised ECE Teaching qualification. Has a current First Aid Certificate or is in the process of renewal. Can use modern information technology. E.g. MicrosoG programmes, Internet, email, Tablet and video equipment Has had suitable teaching and leadership experience in early childhood education in New Zealand, commensurate with the role expected. Displays ethical and responsible behaviour. Demonstrates flexibility to accommodate change and complete a variety of tasks. Demonstrates punctuality. Maintains a presentable standard of personal hygiene and appropriate dress that fulfils the Dress Code policy.
Professional Leadership. 5.18 The Health Board will nominate professional leads to be members of the Integration Joint Board. The Integration Joint Board will appoint professional leads to the Strategic Planning Group, in compliance with Section 32 of the Act.

Integrate new practices and assimilate what has been learnt through the self-review process (the evidence). Understand the impact of technology in the workplace and implement its use appropriately. Work competently within ICT processes at Fraser. Comply with all relevant legislative requirements and with monitoring and reporting requirements. Effectively and efficiently manage staff rosters within the adult/child ratios at all times the area is operating. Keep the teaching staff informed on issues of importance raised by the Manager at Fraser. Share responsibilities and delegate tasks as appropriate with colleagues in the teaching team. Ensure the Second Person Responsible has the opportunity and support to learn and maintain the skills required to be the Person Responsible when necessary.   • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:

  • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.

  • Professional Growth Professional growth is the continuous purposeful engagement in study and related activities designed to retain and extend the high standards of classified unit members.
