Professional Development. 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.
Professional Development. (a) The parties to this Agreement share a desire to improve professional standards by giving the employees the opportunity on occasion:
Professional Development. The Superintendent is expected to continue his professional development and to participate in relevant learning experiences. With the approval of the Board, he may attend appropriate professional meetings at the local, state, regional and national level; and the Board will pay for valid expenses of attendance. If the Superintendent attends a national convention and does not return following the initial year of employment as Superintendent, the Superintendent agrees to repay the District in full for national convention expenses paid by the District.
Professional Development. (a) The parties to this Agreement share a desire to improve professional standards by giving employees the opportunity on occasion to participate in seminars, workshops, short courses or similar out-service programs for the development of knowledge and skills in their respective fields.
Professional Development. 4.2.1 The parties agree that ongoing professional development is an important component of the provision of quality support services within schools. Further the parties acknowledge that the provision of quality support services is aided by appropriately qualified staff.
Professional Development. The Superintendent is expected to continue his professional development and to participate in relevant learning experiences. He may attend appropriate professional meetings at the local, state, regional and national level. The Board will pay for valid expenses of attendance at these meetings provided that the Superintendent shall obtain Board approval in advance of any meeting at the national level.
Professional Development. The Company will reimburse the Executive for education and professional development expenses related to courses or programs selected by the Executive in the energy sector up to $25,000 per calendar year. The Executive may take such courses during normal business hours and will not be required to utilize vacation time.
Professional Development. The parties acknowledge the important skills and expertise that education workers contribute to Ontario’s publicly funded schools and their commitment to improving student achievement. Where the Ministry provides funds to local school boards specifically to provide professional development to employees represented by CUPE, local school boards shall consult with local CUPE representatives prior to finalizing and delivering the funded professional development. Professional Development. The employer acknowledges a commitment to supporting the continued safe practice of its workforce and to supporting opportunities for the development of knowledge and skills which will benefit the patient, organisational effectiveness and workforce.
Professional Development. Prior to being evaluated, the District shall provide professional development relevant to the framework and evaluation process. Each teacher shall receive adequate professional development to comprehend the framework and understand the evaluation process. Each employee within fifteen (15) days of employment or within fifteen (15) days from the commencement of the school year, whichever is later, shall be given a copy of the evaluation criteria, procedures, and any relevant forms or screenshots appropriate to the teacher’s position and track in the evaluation cycle. No teacher shall be evaluated by an evaluator who has not been trained in observation, evaluation, and the use of the specific instructional framework and rubrics contained in this agreement and any relevant state or federal requirements.
