Professional and Education Leaves. (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

Professional and Education Leaves. Where an employee is required by the Employer to attend any training program, course or workshop, the Employer agrees to pay any applicable fee and the Employer agrees to compensate such employees for the time off from work as the result of attending the training program, course or workshop.

It is understood that the employee shall provide the Employer with as much notice as practicable to ensure that there are replacement staff available.
