Professional development means training programs for
continuing professional development (“CPD”) means work undertaken over and above the normal commitments of a barrister and is work undertaken with a view to developing the barrister’s skills, knowledge and professional standards in areas relevant to their present or proposed area of practice in order to keep the barrister up to date and maintain the highest standards of professional practice.
Professional Client means a client meeting the criteria laid down in Annex II;
Commercial Development means any development on private land that is not heavy industrial or residential. The category includes, but is not limited to: hospitals, laboratories and other medical facilities, educational institutions, recreational facilities, plant nurseries, multi-apartment buildings, car wash facilities, mini-malls and other business complexes, shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, public warehouses and other light industrial complexes.
Professional Technologist means a person holding registration as Professional Engineering Technologist in terms of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000.
Participating Clinical Professional Counselor means a Clinical Professional Counselor who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Health profession ’ means allopathic medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatric medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, podiatric medicine, nursing, public health nursing, dentistry, psychiatry, osteopathy, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, public health, social work, marriage and family therapy, chiropractic medicine, environmental health and engineering, and allied health profession, or any other health profession.
Commercial Development Plan means the written commercialization plan attached as Appendix E.
Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon. Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).
Non-Participating Clinical Professional Counselor means a Clinical Professional Counselor who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Licensed professional counselor means a counselor licensed by the board to practice professional counseling as defined in division (A) of section 4757.01 of the Revised Code.
Health professional means an individual licensed or otherwise authorized to engage in a health profession under article 15 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838, and whose scope of practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with a substance use disorder.
Professional counselor means a person who practices counseling as defined in § 54.1-3500.
Medical management technique means a practice which is used to control the cost or utilization of health care services or prescription drug use. The term includes, without limitation, the use of step therapy, prior authorization or categorizing drugs and devices based on cost, type or method of administration.
Allied Health Professional means a person registered as an allied health professional with the Health Professions Council;
professional diligence means the standard of skill and care that a Member would be reasonably expected to exercise towards a Client, commensurate with-
Medical professional means any person licensed or certified to provide health care services to natural persons, including a chiropractor, clinical dietician dietitian, clinical psychologist, dentist, nurse, occupational therapist, optometrist, pharmacist, physical therapist, physician, podiatrist, psychiatric social worker, and speech therapist.
Medical Affairs Activities means the activities designed to ensure or improve appropriate medical use of, conduct medical education of, or further research regarding, the Product, including by way of example: (a) activities of medical science liaisons who, among their other functions may (i) conduct service based medical activities, including providing input and assistance with advisory meetings, (ii) recommend investigators for clinical trials and provide input in the design of such trials and other research related activities, and (iii) deliver non-promotional communications and conduct non-promotional activities, including presenting new clinical trial and other scientific information; (b) grants to support continuing medical education, symposia, and Third Party research related to the Product; (c) development, publication and dissemination of publications relating to the Product; (d) medical information services provided in response to inquiries received through sales representative, letter, phone call, email and other communication; (e) conducting advisory board meetings or other consultant programs; and (f) the support of investigator-initiated trials of the Product.
Health and Human Services Commission or “HHSC” means the administrative agency established under Chapter 531, Texas Government Code, or its designee.
Health care professional means a physician or other health care practitioner licensed, accredited or certified to perform specified health care services consistent with state law.
Affordable development means a housing development all or a portion of which consists of restricted units.
Research and development means (1) theoretical analysis, exploration, or experimentation; or (2) the extension of investigative findings and theories of a scientific or technical nature into practical application for experimental and demonstration purposes, including the experimental production and testing of models, devices, equipment, materials, and processes. Research and development does not include the internal or external administration of radiation or radioactive material to human beings.
municipal spatial development framework means a municipal spatial development framework adopted by the Municipality in terms of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Systems Act;
Professional geologist means a person who is a graduate of an institution of higher education which is accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency, with a minimum of thirty semester (forty-five quarter) hours of undergraduate or graduate work in a field of geology and whose post-baccalaureate training has been in the field of geology with a specific record of an additional five years of geological experience to include no more than two years of graduate work. 23-41-208, C.R.S. and 34-1-201, C.R.S.
Professional Sports means a sport, which would remunerate a player in excess of 50% of his or her annual income as a means of their livelihood.
professional association means a self-regulatory organization of engineers, geoscientists or both engineers and geoscientists that
