Appropriate Dress. When acting in an employee capacity or as a representative of the Gallatin County CUSD, employees are asked to dress in a way that presents themselves and the school district in a positive and appropriate manner. Administration will meet with employees on an individual basis as needed in an attempt to remedy violations of this item.
Appropriate Dress. All Staff are encouraged to pay particular attention to their dress and appearance. Please dress in a manner that is appropriate for your position and the work that you do. If a teacher/parent/community member has a complaint, the following channels should be followed:

(a) From time to time, employees may be subject to the company’s direction as to type, quality, cut and colour of apparel to be worn (including wearing a uniform or complying with occupational health and safety dress requirements). The company may also direct employees in relation to other aspects of their personal grooming.
(b) Full time employees will be provided with some protective clothing and safety footwear. Casual employees will be responsible for providing their own protective clothing and safety footwear.
(c) Any protective clothing and personal protective equipment issued by the company, such as safety glasses, ear muffs or earplugs and hard hats must be worn as directed by the company at all appropriate times by all employees.
(d) Safety footwear provided by the company in accordance with clause 15 (b) above, must be worn by employees at all times whilst on the company’s premises.
(e) All protective clothing, safety footwear and other equipment provided by the company shall remain the property of the company at all times and any employee applying for new issue of any such item who fails to return the item to be replaced shall not be entitled to a new issue without payment thereof. Should any employee on leaving the company’s service fail to return any item of the company’s property (not including clothing actually worn by the employee), the company may deduct from the employee’s final wages the value of any item not returned.
