Assignment of Staff. A teacher shall be assigned to a specific position by or under the direction of the Superintendent, and may be transferred to any other position for which the teacher is qualified. Transfers which involve promotion or demotion of a teacher to, or in, or from administrative or supervisory positions shall be submitted to the Board for approval. Each teacher shall be given at least twenty (20) teaching days' notice by registered mail of any intended reduction of the teacher's salary by reason of a change in the teaching position, and the rights of the teacher as provided in the individual teacher's contract, or of the Association as provided in the Collective Agreement shall be available to such teacher and/or the Association.

Assignment of Staff. (1) The Contractor shall provide the following staff to work for at least the approximate number of hours described. DSHS may at their sole discretion, without cause, and at any time during the term of the Contract, require immediate replacement of a Contractor’s employee(s). Unless authorized in writing in advance by the DSHS Program Manager, subcontracting or substituting proposed Contractor staff/employees with other staff/employees will not be allowed. The DSHS Program Manager will have the sole discretion to accept or reject such proposal.
Assignment of Staff. Teachers are assigned to buildings, classrooms, and subject areas by the Superintendent according to the needs of the schools and the areas for which the individual teacher is certificated/licensed. Any teacher desiring a change of assignment should discuss the matter with the building principal and then submit a request for transfer in writing, (Personal Intent Form) to the Superintendent on or before March of the current year. Changes of assignment are completed on or before August 1. Unless notified of a change, assignments made by the Superintendent in the spring will remain in effect. The teacher is assigned within the bounds of his or her certifications/licensures. The stipulations of a teacher’s contract can be changed in an emergency situation by mutual agreement between the teacher and the Board and may be established by the exercise of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Superintendent and the VEA President. Notification that an emergency situation exists shall be given the teacher by no later than August 1. If changes are necessary and the teacher does not agree to his or her reassigned position, the Board will accept his or her resignation. After July 10, the Superintendent may declare the vacancy as an emergency and fill it after notification to those staff members who have indicated their interest on a personal intent form.

As a condition to accepting Contractor’s proposal for personnel changes, WAHBE may require Contractor to compensate WAHBE for any training and administrative costs incurred by WAHBE in association with such replacement. Such compensation will be in the form of a credit against Contractor’s monthly invoice charges to WAHBE by Contractor not billing WAHBE for hours worked during the first five (5) business days replacement personnel begin work. If WAHBE does not accept Contractor’s proposed change and Contractor is unable to provide acceptable personnel or an acceptable alternative to WAHBE within ten (10) business days after the originally assigned personnel have left, then WAHBE may terminate the Contract. WAHBE may assign other Contractors/Vendors and/or WAHBE staff to work with the Contractor. The Contractor shall work collaboratively and share knowledge and expertise with WAHBE staff or Contractors/Vendors to ensure a successful and timely completion. Contractor shall not supervise WAHBE employees but may be asked to direct the work of other Contractors/Vendors or WAHBE staff. The SOW is not intended to completely describe all work the Contractor will need to accomplish during the period of performance. Assignment of Staff. To create and maintain a great school, Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx School will assemble a faculty and staff who will work together to improve achievement for every student. We intend this committed workforce to remain stable over time. The principal at Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx School, in consultation with the School Leadership Team, will prepare job descriptions for all staff and faculty assignments at the school. The principal may use standard District job descriptions, but is in no way limited to them. The principal at Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx School, in consultation with the personnel committee, will select all school staff and faculty as soon as possible after a vacant assignment is determined. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, all faculty and staff will meet minimum district requirements. In cases where a faculty or staff member does not meet district requirements, the employee must complete a plan to become qualified in no more than a year. Assignments at Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx School are annual. Year-to-year staffing decisions will be made in time for departing staff to participate in the DPS teacher staffing cycle. Under extraordinary circumstances, and with just cause, the principal may discharge an employee during the school year. In the event of a Reduction in Building Staff (RIBS), procedures outlined in the DPS/DCTA Master Agreement will be followed.
