Contractor Responsibility for Performance Sample Clauses
The "Contractor Responsibility for Performance" clause establishes that the contractor is fully accountable for completing the work as specified in the contract. This means the contractor must ensure that all tasks are performed to the required standards, regardless of whether they use their own employees or subcontractors. In practice, if any part of the work is defective or delayed, the contractor remains liable for correcting the issue. The core function of this clause is to clearly allocate responsibility, ensuring that the contractor cannot shift blame for poor performance and that the client has a single point of accountability for the project's success.
