Leaves. Employees on an unpaid leave of absence for 21 calendar days or less are entitled to compensation for the paid holiday(s) which fall in the period commencing on the first day of the leave and ending on the day of return to work. The compensation will be:
Leaves. COVID-19 presents unique health, family, disability and staffing challenges for the District and its employees. The following provisions are included to provide clear, objective, and practical options for the District and the employees facing those challenges. In all cases, strict compliance with all relevant District safety and health rules will be an essential function of each employee’s job.
Leaves. Upon determination that the involuntary nonrenewal of certificated employees will be necessary, certificated employees who are not RIFed shall be invited to apply for one-year leaves of absence without pay. The Superintendent shall recommend favorable action to the Board for any such applicant whose position can be adequately filled from within the district if the granting of such leave should make it possible to grant a contract to a terminated employee from the employment pool, referred to in Section 15.1.6. Employees taking one-year leaves of absence shall be responsible for providing the district with mailing addresses and any changes thereof during their leave period. The employee on leave will be required to notify the District office by letter of his/her desire to return to a teaching position for the next ensuing year by March 15th of the year in which the leave will expire. Nothing contained herein shall be interpreted to abrogate the rights of any certificated employee who receives a special leave of absence.
Leaves. “Immediate family" in Article 15, unless defined otherwise, means the spouse or domestic partner of an employee, as well as the son, son-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, brother, brother in-law, sister, sister in-law, parent, grandparent, or grandchild of the employee or of the spouse or domestic partner of the employee, as well as any relative living in the immediate household of the employee.
Leaves. Xxxxxxxx Charter School certificated employees shall be entitled to the leaves that are outlined in Article XIX of this Agreement.
Leaves. Late and early return from leaves shall be subject to the same rounding practice as specified above.
Leaves. 10.1 The benefits provided employees by Sections 44962 through 44985, 44800 and 44801 of the Education Code are incorporated into this Agreement except as supplemented in the Article.
Leaves. 1. Each administrator shall receive a bank of leave days each school year to be earned at the rate of one and four tenths (1.4) days per month of employment per the following schedule: 11-month employees (44-45 weeks of employment) - 21.4 Days 11.5-month employees (46-47 weeks of employment) - 22.1 Days Beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, administrators will receive an additional six (6) leave days per year. All such leave days may be used prior to being earned; however, any unearned leave days that have been so used will be deducted from the final pay in case of termination of employment. No administrator may use unearned leave days in excess of those that can be earned during the balance of the school year. An administrator must be in pay status for three-fourths (3/4) of his/her scheduled working days for that calendar month. Leave days may be used for personal illness, emergencies in the immediate family and personal business provided that an administrator who takes an extended leave for more than eight
Leaves. Leaves provided under this Article are intended to meet the legitimate needs of employees. The use of leaves must be limited to instances of personal need and are not to be abused. Any abuses may be subject to the provisions of Article 11. Except in extenuating circumstances, leave categories may not be combined for a period of continuous absence.
