Recall List definition

Recall List as used in this Agreement means the list of employees who are laid off from employment with the City or removed from their position by reason of a reduction in the size of the workforce, and who retain a right to return to their prior job classification pursuant to the terms of the Labor Agreement and/or Civil Service rules.
Recall List means a list of persons who have been laid off, demoted, or otherwise displaced for reasons of administrative efficiency, including, for example, lack of work, lack of adequate funding, change in mission, or reorganization of the work force.B. Recall List is a list established for the bargaining unit containing the names of employees who are entitled to be recalled pursuant to paragraph 29.01(a).

Examples of Recall List in a sentence

  • The recall options provided herein shall be consistent with the priority of recall to positions from layoff within an Agency, as specified within each Agency’s contract, except that recall from Agency Layoff Lists shall take precedence over recall from the Secondary Recall List.

  • After the exhaustion of the Agency Layoff List for a specific classification within a geographic area, the Secondary Recall List shall be used to fill all positions within a specific classification and geographic area consistent with Section (c) above, until such secondary list is exhausted.

  • When an employee is prohibited from participating in the secondary recall process due to the presence of an economic disciplinary sanction in his/her personnel file, that employee may request and shall be placed on the Secondary Recall List for the remainder of the two (2) years eligibility following layoff once the discipline has remained in the file for the length of time required by the agency’s contract.

  • However, an employee laid off shall remain on the Agency Layoff List and Secondary Recall List pursuant to the terms of this agreement, if not removed from the list.

  • A laid off regular status or eligible workload limited duration employee on the Secondary Recall List who is offered a permanent appointment from the list and refuses to accept the appointment shall have his/her name removed from the Secondary Recall List.
