Extended Sick Leave. When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

Extended Sick Leave. When an employee’s salary continuation and short-term disability pay have been exhausted, the employee may request to be placed on extended sick leave if the employee continues to be unable to perform the duties of their position due to the illness or accident. Such request must be made thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of short-term disability payments. Extended sick leave may continue for up to eighteen (18) months from the employee’s last day worked. The time period may be extended by mutual agreement of the University and the POAM. If the employee is released to return to work during his/her extended sick leave, he/she will be offered the next available position for which he/she is qualified. Such position shall be equal in hours to the position previously held, unless otherwise agreed between the University, the employee, and the POAM. The University will pay the cost of COBRA medical coverage during the first twelve (12) months of extended sick leave.
Extended Sick Leave. A unit employee whose sick leave, including both current and accrued, has been exhausted, and, where the total of such sick leave used in a given fiscal year is less than one hundred (100) working days, shall be entitled to and be compensated at, fifty percent (50%) of his/her regular daily rate of pay for the balance of one hundred (100) days. A unit employee shall be required to present a doctor’s statement stating the anticipated date the employee will be able to return to full-time service to qualify for this extended leave benefit.
Extended Sick Leave. Each employee in the bargaining unit shall once a year be credited with a total of 100 days sick leave in addition to the sick leave provided under Section 13.4.1 of this Article. Each day of sick leave provided by this Section shall be compensated at the rate of fifty (50) percent of the employee’s regular salary. The paid sick leave provided for under this Section shall be in addition to any other paid leave provided for in this Article and shall be used after the exhaustion of the leaves provided in Sections 13.4. The leave in this Section shall not be accumulative.
Extended Sick Leave. Once each year an employee will receive a credit of one hundred (100) sick days, which includes a combination of full paid sick days and the remainder at fifty percent (50%) paid sick days. The paid sick leave provided for under this section shall be non-cumulative and exclusive of any other paid leave, holidays, vacation or compensatory time to which the employee may be entitled.
Extended Sick Leave. Each classified worker shall be entitled to extended sick leave for illness or injury at the end of all full-pay sick leave or at the end of 10 consecutive working days, whichever is later, and continuing for up to 130 working days from the first day of absence because of illness or injury. Extended sick leave shall be granted in increments of not less than one full day for each working day of absence due to illness or injury. A classified worker on extended sick leave shall be entitled to extended sick leave pay as follows:
Extended Sick Leave a) Employees shall be eligible for extended sick leave benefits so as to provide benefits in the amount of 66⅔% of regular earnings to a maximum earnings ceiling of the Employment Insurance Act at the time of disability, for (a) the period of absence due to sickness in excess of a two week waiting period in any one illness, or (b) where sick leave credits in Plan A exceed two (2) weeks, benefits from this plan shall commence at the expiration of sick leave credits in Plan A.

Extended Sick Leave. 1. An employee who remains disabled and who continues to receive temporary disability payments and who has exhausted all accrued sick leave shall receive extended sick leave payments from the University in an amount equal to the difference between the payments from Workers' Compensation and eighty percent (80%) of the basic salary plus any shift differential which the employee would have received. If such an employee returns to part-time University duties, the earnings plus any temporary disability payments, if less than eighty percent (80%) of basic salary plus shift differential, shall be supplemented to eighty percent (80%) by extended sick leave payments, provided the employee continues to be medically authorized for Workers' Compensation temporary disability. Total extended sick leave payments shall not exceed twenty-six (26) weeks for any one injury or illness. Extended sick leave constitutes an advance against permanent disability payments.
Extended Sick Leave. 6.2.3.1 One Hundred Days: When an employee has exhausted accumulated sick leave, including the amount annually credited, the employee is entitled to up to one-hundred days of extended sick leave. The extended sick leave shall be paid at one-half the employee’s normal daily rate of pay.
Extended Sick Leave. An employee who is receiving temporary disability payments and extended sick leave benefits as described in 'E. above is considered to be on regular pay status for purposes of application of provisions of this Agreement, except completion of the probationary period. Xxxx leave and vacation accrued during this period is credited to the employee only upon return to work. However, if an employee separates without returning to work, the employee shall be paid for vacation accrued during the period the employee received extended sick leave payment.
