Accumulated Unused Sick Leave. The District will pay the teacher, upon retirement, an amount equal to $20 for each day the teacher has accumulated in excess of the number of days reported to TRS, if the teacher should choose this monetory option. The maximum payout shall not exceed payment for 72 days and shall be paid after the effective date of employee’s retirement and will not be considered creditable earnings to TRS.

Accumulated Unused Sick Leave. Upon retirement or other voluntary separation from the School District’s employment, an employee who has completed fifteen (15) years of service to the Pelham School District, shall receive reimbursement for accumulated unused sick leave at the employee’s per diem rate of pay, up to the following maximums: Completed Years of Service In the Pelham School District Maximum Reimbursement 15 - 17 years $2,000.00 18 - 25 years $2,500.00 26 or more years $3,000.00
Accumulated Unused Sick Leave. An accounting of accumulated unused sick leave shall be available via the district’s internal, electronic communication system.
Accumulated Unused Sick Leave. Upon retirement with the District, the Board shall pay each full-time, non probationary ten (10), eleven (11), or twelve (12) month employee $25 for each accumulated unused day of sick leave or may request to have the unused days of sick leave submitted to IMRF. Employees who retire and begin receiving retirement benefits in accordance with the requirements of the Employees’ Pension and Annuity Fund or the Public Employee Retirement System shall be compensated for unused accumulated sick leave on the following basis: One (1) day for every two (2) days of unused accumulated sick leave shall be compensated at $85.00 per day to a maximum of one hundred (100) compensated days, two hundred (200) accumulated days. Employees will make every effort to provide notice of retirement to the Board not later than February 1st.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy.   • Utilization of Sick Leave with Pay Employees who have earned sick leave credits shall be eligible for sick leave for any period of absence from employment due to any of the following reasons: • illness; • bodily injury; • disability resulting from pregnancy; • necessity for medical or dental care; • if the employee is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault, or stalking; or the parent or guardian of a minor child or dependent who is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault or stalking, pursuant to ORS 659A.270 through 659A.290; • attendance at an employee assistance program; • exposure to contagious disease; • for the emergency repair of personal assistive devices which are medically necessary for the employee to perform assigned duties; • attendance upon members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family, or the equivalent of each for domestic partners, (parent, wife, husband, children, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, or another member of the immediate household) where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or death. • parental leave The employee has the duty to insure that they make other arrangements, within a reasonable period of time, for the attendance upon children or other persons in the employee’s care. Certification of an attending physician or practitioner may be required by the Agency to support the employee’s claim for sick leave if the employee is absent in excess of seven (7) days, or if the Agency has evidence that the employee is abusing sick leave privileges. The Agency may also require such certificate from an employee to determine whether the employee should be allowed to return to work where the Agency has reason to believe that the employee’s return to work would be a health hazard to either the employee or to others.
