SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. 9.1 Without prejudice to the following provisions of this Clause 9 or of Clause 2.1 if the Executive becomes incapable of carrying out his duties hereunder because of illness or other incapacity he shall on the production of a medical certificate or other evidence satisfactory to the Board (the Board reserving the right to require the Executive to be examined by a doctor nominated by the Board) be entitled to receive:
SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. Any employee will be granted a sick or accident leave by the Company upon the basis of the facts and (1) the presentation of a statement from the treating physician certifying that the employee is unable to work on the specific days at issue, or (2) the presentation of a certificate from a doctor designated by the Company satisfactorily stating adequate medical reason necessitating the employee’s absence from work. Any grievance filed under this Section may be filed directly at STEP THREE.
SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. To current EI Benefit level for a period of six (6) months after third (3rd) day of sickness.
SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. 9.1 Payment will be based on twelve straight time hours per normal shift missed to a maximum of thirty seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week (the week beginning Sunday at 5:30 a.m.). If an employee is absent for a complete pay period (fourteen (14) consecutive days beginning and ending at 5:30 a.m. Sunday), the employee will receive thirty seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week at straight time. The payment schedule is outlined in Article 12.3 of the Collective Agreement.

In the event that an employee is unable to work due to or accident (excepting accidents occurring during perf of regular duties for which Workers' coverage is provided) he shall be reinstated at such time as he is able to resume hie normal duties. The Company shall, however, at any time be entitled have an employee absent because of illness or accident examined at ita own expense. The Company doctor shall endeavour to consult with the employee's personal doctor as to whether or not the employee is able his normal duties. Except in cases where an appointment was scheduled and the employee failed to report, no employee who has completed his probationary period shall be requested to take a physical examination by the Company on his day off or after regular working hours. This, however, will not apply when employee is on sick leave and a medical is required, as in Article above, before he to work. PAY FOR TIME ABSENT WORK DUE TO ACCIDENTS employee will be paid percent of his regular wages at store level for time during which he is absent from work due to his illness renders him unable to work. Such payment is limited to a maximum of three days for one absence. Payment shall be subject to the following conditions and qualifications, all of which must be complied with: The employee must have at least six (6) months' continuous service the Company at the time of his sickness. The employee notify his Store Manager (or hie appointee) at the store of his absence prior to his regular starting time on the first day of absence or soon as possible, at which time he shall supply the following

SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. 5.1 If the Employee is prevented from work due to sickness or accident, he shall inform the Employer without delay and at the Employer's request submit within three days a medical certificate.
SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. In the event that the employee is unable to ------------------- perform the full-time duties of his employment by reason of accident or sickness, and has used all of his accumulated sick days and personal days, the Company shall continue to pay the Employee his full compensation herein during such period of his disability, not to exceed, however, one hundred eighty (180) days from the commencement of such disability. Successive periods of disability of the Employee's failure to perform his full-time duties on account of accident or sickness shall be considered separate periods. Notwithstanding anything in this paragraph to the contrary, the Company shall deduct from the amount otherwise payable hereunder that amount which becomes payable to the Employee pursuant to any disability income insurance contract, the premiums for which have been paid by the Company.
SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. The school first aid center is responsible for caring for children who become ill at school and for dealing with accidents. Students who are ill should not be sent to school, as they pose a health risk to other students. If a child comes to school sick, the school will telephone the parent and request that the child return home. Students who have a fever are not permitted back to school until 24 hours after the fever breaks; students who vomit are not permitted back to school until 24 hours past the last vomit. We ask that parents adhere to these parameters to help keep all students at school healthy. Children who have been absent due to illness may be required to bring a doctor’s note to school with them when they return, and submit the note to the appropriate division office. The administration reserves the right to make final attendance decisions regarding the health and safety of all students. More serious medical/accident situations are managed by ER-24, an external medical provider. The school will notify the parents as soon as there is any situation in which the parents should be made aware. To this end, it is extremely important that parents provide up-to-date telephone numbers, including home, mobile and office numbers, to the parent portal on Ed-admin. It is required that parents will have medical insurance policies for their children to cover expenses for illnesses or accidents which may occur during their stay in South Africa, whether on or off campus. A copy should be submitted to the admissions office to keep on file. Although the school has liability insurance for gross negligence or willful misconduct, it does not provide routine medical insurance reimbursement for any medical costs. The school carries a small amount of accident insurance for any accident that occurs on school grounds. This insurance is in the amount of R5,000 and can be claimed for amounts not covered by an individual's medical provider. The school holds liability insurance that covers all staff, student interns, students, trustees of the governing body and members thereof, members of the parent and teachers association, and other representative persons acting in such a capacity for and on behalf of the school.
SICKNESS & ACCIDENT. When an employee remains disabled from working, the Company will pay two-thirds (2/3) of an employee’s regular earnings for up to eight (8) weeks, upon the expiration of UIC weekly indemnity benefits.
