Wage Determination. Wages and other working conditions of those who have a university degree are determined in a contract of employment between the employer and the employee. The wage levels and combinations thereof, etc. are subject to the provisions of the contract of employment. It is permitted to negotiate a fixed monthly salary of an employee in a contract of employment, which sets out the total wages of the employee in respect of their work for the employer, The form and content of the contract of employment are according to article 5.1. Wage terms of university graduates are determined by what is concluded on the market. When negotiating wages, employer and employee can, among other things, take salary surveys into account, as well as wage structure standards of the employer in question. The wages shall otherwise reflect workload, skills, education and competence of the concerned employee, as well as the field of work and the responsibility involved. When determining wages, the provisions of the Equal Status Act shall be met. An employee is entitled to an interview regarding his work activities with his boss once a year, discussing, among other things, performance, objectives and possible changes in working conditions. A conclusion shall be reached within a month.

If occupational diseases are not compensable under those statutes, they shall be covered under the employer’s liability section of the insurance policy, except when contract operations are so comingled with a Contractor’s commercial operations that it would not be practical to require this coverage. Employer’s liability coverage of at least $100,000 shall be required, except in States with exclusive or monopolistic funds that do not permit worker’s compensation to be written by private carriers. Prior to the commencement of work hereunder, the Contractor shall furnish to the KO a certificate or written statement of the above required insurance. The policies evidencing required insurance shall contain an endorsement to the effect that cancellation or any material change in policies adversely affects the interests of the Government in such insurance shall not be effective for a such a period as may be prescribed by the laws of the State in which this contract is to be performed and in no event less than (30) days after written notice thereof to the KO.
