Executive Order 11063 Clause Samples

Executive Order 11063 is a federal directive that prohibits discrimination in the sale, leasing, rental, or other disposition of properties and facilities owned or operated by the federal government or provided with federal funds. In practice, this means that any housing or related facilities that receive federal assistance must be made available without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin. For example, a federally funded apartment complex cannot refuse to rent to someone based on their ethnicity. The core function of this order is to promote equal opportunity in housing and prevent discriminatory practices in federally involved real estate transactions.
