Per Occurrence Clause Samples
The "Per Occurrence" clause defines how insurance coverage or liability limits apply to each individual incident or event that results in a claim. In practice, this means that the policy’s maximum payout is reset for each separate occurrence, regardless of how many claims arise during the policy period. For example, if multiple accidents happen at different times, each is treated as a distinct occurrence for coverage purposes. This clause ensures that coverage is not exhausted by a single event and provides clarity on how limits are applied, thereby protecting both the insurer and the insured from ambiguity regarding claim payments.
