PERSONAL HOURS. 8 (1) All regular full time employees, subject to the provisions of par. 2.22(3), shall receive 24 9 hours leave per year known as "personal hours,” in addition to earned leave by reason of 10 vacation, accrued holidays, and compensatory time. Employees who work half time or 11 more shall accrue personal hours on a pro-rata basis. Proration shall be based on 12 established work week.

PERSONAL HOURS. Employees employed on January 1 of each calendar year shall receive sixteen (16) personal hours. The sixteen (16) personal hours must be used by December 31 of each calendar year or the employee will lose them. Employees hired between January 1 and June 30 will receive sixteen (16) personal hours for that calendar year. Employees hired after June 30 will receive eight (8) personal hours for that calendar year. Promoted employees may carry-over any unused personal hours to their credit. Employees shall not be permitted to carry-over any unused personal hours to the following calendar year. Promoted employees may carry-over any unused personal hours to their credit due to a promotion. Employees leaving in good-standing during the course of the year shall receive payment for any unused personal hours that have been accrued but not used. For purposes of this section, “calendar year” shall be defined as January 1 through December 31. However, employees who leave, regardless of their standing, during the first calendar year in which they are employed by the Employer, shall not be eligible to receive payment for any accrued but unused personal hours that have been accrued but not used during the calendar year. In the event an employee is killed in the line of duty, any accrued, but unused personal leave shall be paid to the employee’s surviving spouse or estate. The use of such personal hours shall be submitted in writing to the Employer and subject to the Employer’s approval which shall not be unreasonably denied. Personal hours shall be taken in a minimum of one (1) hour increments.
PERSONAL HOURS. (a) Full time employees and part-time employees hired to work twenty-one (21) hours or more per week will receive twenty-one (21) personal hours per calendar year, commencing January 1, 2013. (For 2012, all employees will receive a pro-rated amount of personal hours.)

Personal time taken in four (4) hour increments shall be allowed during any portion of the shift, provided it is approved by the Chief of Police or designee, except that an Employee may not use personal leave mid-shift if such use would cause overtime for the Department.
PERSONAL HOURS. A. Members shall be entitled to thirty-two (32) personal hours per year. These hours are in addition to hours granted under ARTICLE X, Paragraph “G”, Sick Leave.

PERSONAL HOURS. ‌ Each new employee shall receive eight personal hours on the completion of his or her third month, sixth-month and ninth month of service. Thereafter, regular full-time employees who have completed one (1) full year of employment will receive twenty-four (24) hours of paid personal hours* to be absent from work. These twenty-four (24) hours must be used by the end of the fiscal year in which they are provided. *After your first anniversary date, personal hours are awarded at the beginning of every fiscal year (May 1). The Chief or his designee must approve the use of personal hours. Personal days must be used during the year in which they are earned and shall be paid at the employee's regular rate of pay for eight (8) hours. Unused personal hours cannot be carried over from year to year. Any personal days not used in the calendar year will be forfeited unless the Chief or his designee gives approval for carry-over of those days. Any personal hours carried over from the previous year must be utilized within thirty (30) days. The Village may require an employee to utilize unused personal days. In the event of death, any unused personal days shall be paid to the designated beneficiary of the deceased employee.
PERSONAL HOURS. Section 1. All employees, upon completing one (1) year of continuous service shall receive twenty-eight (28) personal hours off with pay which personal hours must be requested and taken from anniversary date to anniversary date. Personal hours must be taken in not less than one (1) hour increments. The request for personal time is subject to the approval of the department head. In an emergency (personal, family, household) the department head may accept as little as one (1) hour notice. For non-emergencies a twenty-four (24) hour notice is required. The personal hours must be applied for as required above and will be granted in accordance with the rules of seniority.
