Compensatory Time definition

Compensatory Time means time off with pay for authorized overtime worked in lieu of hourly wages, calculated in accordance with Article 15 of this Agreement.

More Definitions of Compensatory Time

Compensatory Time means hours during which an employee is not working, which are not counted as hours worked during the workweek or other work period classified by the department by rule promulgated under s. 103.02 for purposes of calculating overtime compensation, and for which the employee is compensated at the employee’s regular rate of pay.
Compensatory Time is defined as the performance of substitute service in the classroom during the employee’s assigned preparation periods or other duties as deemed necessary by the Principal or designee in exchange for compensatory time off. 10.1.1 Compensatory time off for such service shall be granted by the site principal and deducted on a period for period basis, or hour for hour for other duties. Employees shall be entitled to carry over compensatory time. 10.1.2 Such service shall first be solicited on a voluntary basis. In the event that no volunteer can be found, employees may be assigned on an occasional basis to perform "compensatory time" service. 10.1.3 Under normal circumstances "compensatory time" will not be granted during the first or last week of each semester. No more than two consecutive days of compensatory time may be taken. Any exception must be approved by the site principal or designee in advance. 10.1.4 Employees shall not be entitled to monetary compensation for unused compensatory time, either during employment with the District or upon termination of employment. Upon retirement, retirees may transfer accrued compensatory time to the Catastrophic Leave Bank. 10.1.5 Compensatory time may be transferred from one employee to another with advanced approval by the site principal or designee.

Management shall grant the use of compensatory time off at a mutually agreeable time within the said year or the CCSNH shall make payment for the compensatory time. 17.5.3 When an employee is paid for compensatory time it shall be at the employee's rate of pay at the time of payment. 17.5.4 When overtime funds are available in any pay period, non-exempt employees who work authorized overtime shall have first refusal on the available funds to compensate for that overtime.
