Unused Personal Leave. Since a number for the available personal leave days has been established, a basic discussion will need to be had regarding unused personal leave days. Naturally, these differ from vacation days since the Employer will not always be required to pay the Employee when personal leave is taken. If a dollar amount will be attached to each personal leave day that is unused so that it can be paid to that Employee then, select the first checkbox presented in the list of options provided and record the dollar amount that shall be paid for one unused personal day. Unused Personal Leave. In order to encourage drivers to not use Personal Leave in an effort to minimize the need for substitute drivers and improve the safety, security and welfare of our students, drivers will be reimbursed at their regular rate of pay for any unused Personal Leave. The payment will be included in the driver(’s) first pay in July.
Unused Personal Leave. Unused personal leave will not be cashed out or paid out when an Employee ceases their employment.
Unused Personal Leave. The district will buy back unused personal leave at a rate of $100.00 per day. On May 15 of each current year, the business manager will calculate the number of hours and pay each instructor for any unused personal leave at a rate of $14.29 per hour for any hours that have accumulated over 14 total hours. Prorated hours will be used for part time instructors. Reimbursement for unused personal leave will be part of the May payroll check. If instructors desire pay for any additional accumulated personal leave, a request in writing to the business manager will need to be made.
Unused Personal Leave. Unused personal leave shall automatically be added to the employee’s accumulated sick leave up to the maximums outlined in Article 9.2G.
Unused Personal Leave. If at the end of the school year an employee has not taken the allotted personal leave, the employee will be reimbursed for the unused portion of said leave, payable at the employee’s per diem rate, or the employee may elect to carry over up to two (2) unused personal leave days. If an employee chooses to carry over personal leave, the employee is responsible for notifying Human Resources by responding to District communications by June 1, or excess leave will be cashed out to the employee in July. Employees will be able to accumulate up to a maximum of five (5) personal days at the beginning of a given school year. At the end of a school year, any unused personal days, in excess of the five (5) maximum, will be reimbursed to the employee at their per diem rate.
Unused Personal Leave. One remaining unused personal day, up to eight (8) hours, may be carried over to the personal bank and remaining unused personal time will be rolled over to the sick bank the following school year. The Supervisor of Transportation has the discretion to permit the transfer of sick time for personal use upon receiving a written request from the bus driver.

Unused Personal Leave days may accumulate and may be deferred for payment as stated in Article XV, Section 2, Subd. 4, Early Retirement Incentive Pay and Article XVI, Section 6, Employee Match/Retirement Plan.
