The "Hours Off" clause defines the specific periods during which employees are not required to work and are entitled to rest. Typically, this clause outlines daily or weekly rest breaks, such as lunch hours, weekends, or mandatory time off between shifts, ensuring that work schedules comply with labor regulations. Its core function is to protect employee well-being by preventing overwork and ensuring adequate rest, thereby promoting a healthy work-life balance and reducing the risk of burnout.
Hours Off. There shall be a minimum of twelve (12) hours off between regularly scheduled shifts, excluding overtime or the employee will receive four (4) compensatory hours to apply at a later date of his/her choosing in addition to his/her regular pay for the shift.
