No premium shall be paid for personal days hours. Unused personal hours will not be bought back by the Borough. Compensation for holidays shall be as follows: In the event an officer works on a holiday, he/she will receive straight pay. In addition, he/she will receive two- (2) time pay (double time). Combined compensation would be triple time for hours worked on the holiday. This paragraph specifically prohibits compensatory days off for holidays worked, however, compensatory time shall be given in the amount necessary in order to have combined compensation for the holiday by eight (8) hours (Example: An officer works 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. and the holiday falls on the portion of the shift that are morning hours–the officer would receive triple time pay for seven (7) hours and one (1) compensation hour.).
Holidays Personal Days. The Employer recognizes the following holidays as paid holidays: New Year‟s Day Thanksgiving Day Friday after Thanksgiving Memorial Day Christmas Day Labor Day Independence Day Additional Holiday All employees who would otherwise be scheduled to work on days when the above holidays are observed shall be paid their regular rate of pay. All employees who work a schedule such that one of the above holidays falls on a day they would not normally work shall be given paid time off at their regular rate of pay in lieu of the holiday in the same payroll week in which the holiday is observed. HCRS shall at its sole discretion determine whether the additional holiday shall be observed so as to create a long weekend (e.g. if July 4th falls on a Thursday observe the additional holiday on July 5th) or observed on a holiday not otherwise listed herein. Part time employees shall receive holiday pay only when they would otherwise be scheduled to work on the date of an actual holiday specifically enumerated in this section. These employees will receive their regular base rate of pay for the number of hours they are normally scheduled to work. Holidays shall be observed in accordance with the HCRS schedule determined at the beginning of every year. Holidays that fall on a weekend shall be observed on either the preceding Friday or following Monday. Not withstanding the above, school based clinicians shall observe the holidays observed by the school at which they work. Full time employees shall be entitled to five (5) personal days each calendar year. Part time employees who work twenty (20) or more hours per week, shall be entitled to personal days on a pro-rated basis. Full time school based clinicians shall be entitled to three (3) personal days each school year. Part time school based clinicians that work twenty (20) or more hours per week, shall be entitled to personal days on a pro-rated basis.

Holidays Personal Days. Each officer shall be entitled to 96 hours of Holiday time per year. Holiday pay shall correspond to New Year’s Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xxx, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Each officer shall be entitled to 32 hours of Personal Time per year. Each police officer with ten (10) years of service is to receive one (1) additional personal day (8 hours) per year. Thus, an officer who has less than ten (10) years of service as a Township Police Officer as of January 1 of a given year will receive thirty-two (32) hours of personal time for that calendar year. An officer who, as of January of a given year has ten (10) or more years of service as a Township Police Officer shall receive forty (40) hours of personal time for that calendar year. An officer is entitled to overtime pay for working on a Holiday if he or she works on any of the following seven (7) days: New Year’s Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xxx, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and/or Christmas Day. Officers shall not be permitted to carry over any unused personal time and/or holiday time into the following year.
Holidays Personal Days. All employees covered by the Agreement shall receive Holiday pay for each of the following designated Holidays not worked irrespective of the day of the week on which the Holiday may fall at the rate of eight (8) hours pay. The following holidays and will be observed: HOLIDAYS (13) New Year's Day Xxxxxx'x Xxxxxx Xxxx'x Day Good Friday Columbus Day Memorial Day General Election Day Independence Day Veteran's Day Labor Day Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Day Presidents Day Thanksgiving Day The employee must work his or her last scheduled day before and first scheduled day after the Holiday in order to get paid for an unworked Holiday. If the employee calls out sick, he may be required to present a doctor's note in order to get paid for the Holiday. Pumping Station Operators scheduled to work on any of the holidays shall be paid at the rate of double time in addition to the holiday pay.
