A Long Sample Clauses

A Long term Occasional Teacher who is absent due to quarantine by a medical doctor due to someone else’s illness shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of pay.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher whose assignment is longer than three (3) months may request an evaluation by a Principal. Such a request must be made by the Occasional Teacher no later than ten (10) days prior to the end of the Long-Term Occasional assignment.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher whose assignment is longer than three (3) months may request a Performance Appraisal by a Principal. Such a request must be made by the Occasional Teacher no later than ten (10) days prior to the end of the Long-Term Occasional assignment. The Principal, or designate, completing the Appraisal shall use the Employer’s Occasional TeachersPerformance Appraisal process (OTPA). The Board will endeavor to provide the Occasional Teacher at least 48 hoursnotice before a classroom observation for the purpose of a Performance Appraisal.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher shall be granted one (1) day, without loss of pay or deduction of sick leave, for the purpose of writing an examination which will improve professional or academic qualifications. The Occasional Teacher shall provide written documentation to the Board attesting to the writing of the examination.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher who is not on the Occasional Teacher Supply List will be considered to be on probation for (sixty) 60 teaching days, which may accumulate from different assignments. The Long-Term Occasional Teacher must comply with the requirements of the probationary process outlined in Article 6.01. Such time worked will be applied to the probationary period should the Occasional Teacher be subsequently approved for placement on the Supply List.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher with an acceptable university degree but who does not hold a Q.E.C.O. Rating Statement shall be paid retroactive to the first day of the current assignment, at Cat. A1 of the current salary schedule of the Collective Agreement between the Board and Union representing elementary teachers with experience as recognized under Articles 13.05 and 13.06 of this Collective Agreement.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher who receives recognition for a full year of experience for placement on the grid shall advance to the next level of the appropriate category until achieving the maximum salary for the category in which he or she is included.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher shall be entitled to enroll in the Waterloo Region District School Board Benefit Plan provided that the Occasional Teacher pays the full cost for benefits and that the Occasional Teacher has worked a minimum of sixty (60) days in a Long-Term Occasional Teacher position. The Occasional Teacher may continue benefit coverage in future school years provided he/she continues to pay 100% of the premium.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher, hired to replace an absent regular teacher for a specified period, properly qualified for such position, may not be replaced by another Occasional Teacher prior to the expiry of the specified period unless it is by mutual agreement of the Long Term Occasional Teacher and the Board except in cases of removal for disciplinary reasons.
A Long. Term Occasional Teacher who is scheduled to work when there is a professional activity day shall be paid for the day provided that the Long-Term Occasional Teacher participates in the scheduled professional activities. 16.02 An Occasional Teacher may attend a Board-wide professional activity day, if space is available and there is no additional cost to the Board, and the Occasional Teacher shall not receive compensation for such time. The Board shall provide P.A. Day agendas and schedules to the Local Executive.
