Day Shift. The regular working week shall consist of not more than forty (40) hours of work to be performed during regular shift periods except where a shorter work week is established in accordance with Section (e). A regular shift period shall consist of not more than eight (8) hours of work to be performed on Monday to Friday inclusive of each week (exclusive of the vacation period and holidays) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour for lunch, which is to be taken between the hours of 12:00 noon and 12:30 p.m.
Day Shift. No Shift Differential 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day Shift. 9.01 Forty (40) hours per week shall constitute a week’s work, Monday to Friday, inclusive. Eight (8) hours per day shall constitute a standard work day, starting between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 AM, with a half hour unpaid lunch.
Day Shift. When the majority of hours on an employee's assigned shift fall between the hours of 7:00a.m. and 3:00p.m. inclusive, he will be considered as working the day shift.
Day Shift. For all Afternoon or Midnight shifts in the relay, hours of work shall be scheduled as any 8 consecutive hours, consistent with Articles 6.01.03-Afternoon Shift and 6.01.04- Midnight Shift.
Day Shift. Day shift shall be the nearest starting time to 8:00 a.m.
Day Shift. The day shift shall be described as the first (1st) shift of the day and such shift shall be scheduled to start between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 12:59 p.m.
Day Shift. When the majority of hours assigned fall between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., no shift differential shall be paid.
Day Shift a day shift shall be defined as a shift where the majority of hours fall between 07:00 and 15:00 hours. Afternoon Shift – an afternoon shift shall be defined as a shift where the majority of hours fall between 15:00 and 23:00 hours. Night Shift – a night shift shall be defined as a shift where the majority of hours fall between 23:00 and 07:00 hours. Swing Shift – combination of day, afternoon and night shifts within the shift schedule. 8.02.03 Transit Peace Officer and Sergeant shifts will be identified on the sign-up as a combination of days, afternoons and nights within the shift schedule. The team shifts will be designed in such a manner as to provide employees with a minimum of 2 shift schedules from which to choose from. The shift schedules will be reasonably different from each other with respect to the number of days, afternoons and nights contained within it. 8.02.04 Employees will sign the sign-up in seniority order. Sign-ups shall occur at least once every 4 months, except for Transit Peace Officers and Sergeants who shall conduct sign-ups at least every 12 months.
