Long-Term Unpaid Leave. 1. Requests for long-term leaves (more than 10 workdays) shall be granted for a full year or may be granted for a semester or the balance of the school year to tenured members. Long-term unpaid leave will not be granted to a member on a Plan of Improvement, or to a member who has taken long-term unpaid leave which extended to the end of a school year within the last five years. Requests for unpaid medical leave must be accompanied by a physician’s statement of inability to perform duties which is acceptable to the District.

Long-Term Unpaid Leave. The Board shall grant unpaid leave of absences in keeping with the following:
Long-Term Unpaid Leave. An employee with three (3) years of consecutive employment with the District may request leave for a period of one (1) year. For a school term employee the request must be made at least sixty (60) days before the requested start date for the leave and before the employee's last day of work for the school term. For all other employees, the request must be made at least sixty (60) days in advance of the requested start date for the leave. The decision to grant such leave shall be at the discretion of the Superintendent whose decision shall be final.
Long-Term Unpaid Leave. 1. Employees who have a contract of employment for an indefinite period and who have been in employment with the employer for at least five years may request long-term unpaid leave, for the purpose of long-term employability. Such a request may be made a maximum of once every five years.

Long-Term Unpaid Leave. A long-term unpaid leave of absence may be granted to a certified employee of the district after three (3) or more years of service to the district. A long-term leave is defined as one of sixty (60) or more workdays in length. All requests for unpaid leave shall be submitted in writing to the superintendent and shall state the reason for the requested leave, the date the leave is to begin, and the date the leave is to end. All requests for long-term leaves of absence will be submitted by the superintendent, along with his/her recommendations, to the Board of Education for its action. Long-Term Unpaid Leave. (a) Any employee that has worked for the Employer for a cumulative period of twelve (12) months and averaged at least one-half the full-time equivalent position in the employeesjob classification during those twelve months is eligible for up to a total of 12 workweeks of unpaid leave in a twelve (12) month period for one or more of the following reasons: • birth and care of a newborn child of the employee; • placement with the employee of a son or daughter for adoption or xxxxxx care; • care for an immediate family member (spouse, child, or parent) with a serious health condition; or • medical leave when the employee is unable to work because of a serious health condition.
