Equipment Committee. An Equipment Committee will meet no more than quarterly to examine issues related to weapons and other equipment and to make recommendations to the Superintendent. The issue of carbine weapons is an appropriate topic for the committee. The Committee will consist of two (2) Bargaining Unit 1 members, two (2) Bargaining Xxxx 00 members, and four (4) Management representatives. The committee will have its first meeting no later than forty-five (45) days after the effective date of the Agreement and will report out its findings no later than forty-five (45) days after it reaches a decision on any issue.
Equipment Committee. The FEDERATION shall elect a committee of three (3) who shall recommend to the Superintendent of Schools or her/his designee the selection of machinery and equipment needed by the employees for the performance of their duties in the various buildings of the EMPLOYER, both in the planning stage and when replacements are necessary. They shall meet with the Superintendent or her/his designee at such time or times as are necessary for the accomplishment of the foregoing. Their recommendations shall not be binding upon the Superintendent or her/his designee.

Explanation: An equipment committee shall be created and must include two (2) bargaining unit 1 members, two (2) bargaining unit 15 members and four (4) members of management. The first meeting shall be no later than 45 days from the effective date of this Agreement. A separate committee has been established for discussion of the carbine weapon issues. After June 30, 2010, the Equipment Committee may handle issues related to the carbine weapon.
Equipment Committee. The Fire Chief will submit a proposed equipment list to a standing committee of two (2) full-time and two (2) on-call firefighter employees to review and make recommendations to the Chief before the Chief submits the equipment proposal to the City Manager for the budget.
Equipment Committee. The Department Chief may appoint a three (3) person committee to investigate and determine whether the loss or damage to any equipment/clothing occurred while the plain clothes or uniformed officer was acting in his official capacity and if the officer is free of negligence. If any item is found by the committee to have been lost or damaged while the officer was not acting in his official capacity or through the officer's negligence, the City shall have no liability for replacement or repair. The committee shall make immediate written notification of its findings to the Department Head and the affected officer. The Department Chief or his designee, at their option, may require replaced items to be turned over to the department. It is the prerogative of the department to have any sidearm sent to the factory or authorized gunsmith for determination of its serviceability or ability to be repaired, before replacing it.
Equipment Committee. 45.14 The Union and the City agree that there shall be a committee established to deal with equipment issues for employees in ambulance services. This committee shall consist of three (3) representatives from the City and three (3) Union representatives. TEMS shall pay for all hours spent by TEMS employees in the committee meetings, up to a maximum of three (3) employees. TEMS employees who attend on their scheduled days off will be compensated at time and one half (1 1/2) for up to four (4) hours. Joint Job Evaluation Committee – joint committee comprised of two (2) members named by the Association and two (2) members named by the Board and will meet at least quarterly or more frequently, if required. The Joint Job Evaluation committee is responsible for evaluating jobs in accordance with the Joint Job Evaluation System, Appendix B. Staff Deployment Committee – joint committee comprised of three (3) Members named by the Association and three (3) Members named by the Board and will meet whenever requested by any Member of the SDC to consult on any future changes to the shift schedule and on deployment of Members, particularly relating to two Member patrol cars. The Member seeking the meeting will provide a brief agenda in advance and in writing of subjects to be discussed. The SDC will strive to reach a consensus. The SDC will provide input to the Chief either on its own initiative or when requested by the Chief. The SDC will also offer recommendations to the Chief regarding minimum staffing.
