Split Shifts. No shift shall be split for a period longer than the regularly scheduled meal and rest periods as provided for in Article 14.08.

Split Shifts. (a) Where split shifts are assigned by the Employer, they must conform with the following guidelines:

Part-time employees shall not be required to work a split shift except by mutual agreement between the employee and the Employer. Such agreement shall be given by the employee in writing. When an employee has agreed to work split shifts and wishes to withdraw such agreement, twenty-four (24) hours notice shall be given to the Employer. Agreement and withdrawal of same shall only take place once during the life of the Collective Agreement. Employees daily hours of work shall be consecutive wherever possible, with the exception of meal periods.
