Workshops/Conferences. The District may grant paid or unpaid time off for employee participation in educational workshops, conferences, classroom visitations, and professional meetings. The District may reimburse such employees for their attendance, if it is determined that the function will be of direct benefit to the School District. In all cases, prior approval must be obtained from the District. Notwithstanding, in the event that the District requires or requests employee attendance at such functions, the District will reimburse necessary expenses, subject to any reimbursement obtained by the employee from non-District sources.

Workshops/Conferences. With the approval of the immediate Supervisor and the CEO, all regular employees may be permitted to attend non-mandatory specialized workshops and conferences during the work day not to exceed eight (8) hours per day. The Employer’s budget permitting and with prior approval of the Program Director and CFO, regular employees will be reimbursed for cost directly related to the workshop/conference such as registration, meals, lodging, travel, mileage and required materials.
Workshops/Conferences. The District and the Association will work together to increase training opportunities for classified staff through programs designed to improve the quality of service to the District and are job related. Staff may apply for professional leave to the District to build job-related skills and abilities. Such leave may include paid or unpaid and/or reimbursement for workshops or conference fees at the sole discretion of the District.

The Board shall pay the reasonable expenses (including fees, meals, lodging and transportation) incurred by Association members for professional job-related workshops, seminars, conferences, or other professional development sessions attended at the request and/or with the advance approval of the building administrator or program director. Workshops/Conferences. Any fees and expenses related to approved workshops or conferences attended shall be reimbursed by the Board as defined in the conference approval and reimbursement forms submitted for approval. The Board shall reimburse a Teacher within four (4) weeks of the receipt of the required documentation.

  • Pre-Job Conferences a) The Employer will notify the Union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference will be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in this Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.

  • Conferences At the request of the State or the Engineer, conferences shall be provided at the Engineer's office, the office of the State, or at other locations designated by the State. These conferences shall also include evaluation of the Engineer's services and work when requested by the State.

  • SPECIAL CONFERENCES 24.01 Special conferences for important matters will be arranged between the union and the Human Resources Officer or designee, upon the request of either party. Arrangements for such special conferences shall be made in advance and an agenda of the matters to be taken up at the meeting shall be presented at the time the conference is requested.
