Informal Conference. Prior to the filing of a grievance, in an effort to resolve the issue(s), the grievant shall make reasonable attempts to initiate / discuss or an attempt to initiate / discuss the issue(s) informally with the grievant’s Principal or Supervisor.

Informal Conference. Please be advised that it may be possible to informally settle any potential dispute without initiating the more elaborate proceedings brought on by a petition for review. Prior to filing a petition for review, you may request an informal conference concerning any of the results of the inspection (safety orders, penalties, abatement dates, etc.) by contacting the Indiana Department of Labor/IOSHA, preferably by telephone, in a prompt manner. Please be advised that a request for an informal conference cannot extend the fifteen working day period for filing a petition for review. Informal conferences frequently resolve any possible disputes, and therefore you are urged to take advantage of this opportunity. Because of the limited time period and in order to facilitate scheduling, any requests for an informal conference should be made
Informal Conference. In the event a dispute arises between or among any of the parties concerning their respective duties and obligations under this Agreement, each party shall be obligated to meet and confer with the other(s) in good faith, on reasonable notice, and at a mutually agreeable location. The parties agree that if any party refuses to participate in such a conference, or if such a conference fails to produce a mutually acceptable resolution of the dispute within fifteen (15) calendar days after the parties’ receipt of notice of the dispute, the other party or parties may submit the matter to mediation or arbitration pursuant to this Section 14.
Informal Conference. Before filing a formal written grievance under Step One, the employee is encouraged to make a reasonable attempt to resolve the dispute by means of an informal conference with the immediate administrator. However, the grievance must be filed within the time limits required under Step One, whether or not the employee has utilized these informal efforts.
Informal Conference. The employee may within ten (10) working days of the alleged occurrence discuss his/her problem with his/her immediate administrative supervisor. Any employee not satisfied with a personal conference with his/her immediate administrative supervisor may take his/her problem to the Xxxxxxx for consultation. The Xxxxxxx may visit that supervisor in a further effort to resolve the grievance, which visit shall occur within ten (10) working days after the event giving rise to the problem. That supervisor shall give his/her decision within three (3) working days. The Association Executive Committee, through the Xxxxxxx and/or the Executive Committee, shall approve of, and process, all grievances to be pursued beyond the Informal Conference level of the Grievance Procedure.
Informal Conference. An employee against whom the disciplinary action is being considered may be requested to attend an informal conference with the immediate supervisor, his/her designee and/or a Human Resources Administrator prior to official written notification or any recommended disciplinary action. At such conference, the employee shall be informed orally of the specific disciplinary action being considered as well as the reasons therefore and be given an opportunity to respond thereto. At such a conference, the employee may represent himself/herself and/or be represented by a union representative. Holding such an informal conference is discretionary with the District and the failure to do so shall not invalidate any disciplinary action taken pursuant to this regulation.

A written summary of the conference shall be provided to the employee and will be placed in the professional employee’s personnel file.
