Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. The selections and promotions of employees to Board positions outside the bargaining unit are not governed by this agreement. In the event an employee is or has been promoted to any such position and is returned to a vacant position within the bargaining unit within twelve (12) months, he/she shall be credited with the seniority accrued before the period he/she was employed outside the bargaining unit and will continue his seniority upon being re-instated to the bargaining unit.

Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. An employee promoted within the Company outside the bargaining unit and remains outside the bargaining unit for more than nine (9) months shall be allowed to retain only the seniority he has accumulated in the bargaining unit with respect to layoffs, recall, and promotions as provided for in this Article. The employee will not be able to exercise this bargaining unit seniority for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of his return to the bargaining unit. The employee, shall, however, be given full credit for his service with the Company for the purposes of pension, vacations and all other service-related benefits as provided for in this Collective Agreement.
Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. ≈ (a) Effective date of signing, Regular Employees transferred for a temporary period of twelve (12) calendar months or less to a position outside of the Bargaining Unit shall have their seniority frozen at the level achieved on the date of departure from the Bargaining Unit. This dormant credited seniority will be reactivated upon the Employee’s return to a Regular Bargaining Unit position and the Employees seniority date described in Article 14.01 will be adjusted accordingly. The Employee will cease to pay union dues during the period of temporary employment and the terms of the Collective Agreement shall not otherwise apply to such employee while in the non-bargaining unit position. The Employer and the Employee can mutually agree to extend the period of the temporary assignment. However, a mutual agreement shall be required between the Employer and the Union in order to maintain the dormant seniority beyond the twelve (12) month period. Where no agreement is achieved and the Employee continues to work in the position for the period beyond the twelve (12) months, the Employee shall forfeit all seniority and their right to return to the Bargaining Unit.
Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. Employees transferred for a temporary period of twelve (12) months or less to a position outside the bargaining unit shall retain and accrue seniority for the term of the appointment. For temporary transfers in excess of twelve (12) months, seniority shall not accumulate after twelve (12) months but shall be retained at that level to commence upon their return. Such return shall not result in the lay-off or bumping of an employee holding greater seniority.
Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. When an employee takes a position outside the bargaining unit, it is understood and agreed that in the event the employee returns to a position within the bargaining unit within one (1) year of the date that the employee took the position outside of the bargaining unit, the employee will retain the seniority credits that she/he accumulated as of the date that the employee left the bargaining unit. It is further understood and agreed that said employee shall not accumulate seniority during this period of time outside the bargaining unit.
Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. An employee who fills an administrative or management position that is outside the bargaining unit shall retain seniority for a period of thirteen (13) months but shall not accumulate seniority while in the position. If after thirteen (13) months the employee does not return to the bargaining unit, all seniority shall be lost. The thirteen (13) month period may be extended by mutual agreement of the parties.

Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. 10:09 Employees who accept a position with the Employer that is outside the scope of this Collective Agreement will not be subject to this Collective Agreement. However, if this employee chooses or is found to be unsuitable in such position during the probation period of the new position, they shall be transferred back to their former position within the bargaining unit without loss of seniority. Bargaining unit members whose status is affected by the return of the employee to the bargaining unit shall be returned to their former position. It is clearly understood that any new employee who is hired as a result of an appointment to a non- bargaining unit position will be terminated effective the date upon which the bargaining unit member returns to their former position. Such termination of a probationary or substitute employee shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.
Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. Employees who work for the Corporation outside the bargaining unit for greater than twelve (12) months shall lose their seniority. While in the excluded position, the employee shall be suspended from the Union and shall not be required to pay Union dues and their seniority will be retained but not accumulate. If the employee is unsuccessful in the excluded position, the employee will be able to return to his/her Union position, thus terminating their leave of absence early.
