Single Bargaining Unit. The employees, Unions, and Employers and Associations covered under this Master Agreement and the various Supplements thereto shall constitute one (1) bargaining unit and contract. It is understood that the printing of this Master Agreement and the aforesaid Supplements in separate Agreements is for convenience only and is not intended to create separate bargaining units. This ABF National Master Freight Agreement applies to city and road operations, and other classifications of employment authorized by the signatory Employers to be represented by Employer Associations or Employers, where applicable, participating in national collective bargaining. The common problems and interest, with respect to basic terms and conditions of employment, have resulted in the creation of the ABF National Master Freight Agreement and the respective Supplemental Agreements. Accordingly, the Unions Associations and Employers, parties to this Agreement, acknowledge that this Agreement creates they constitute a single national multi-employer collective bargaining unit. composed of the Associations named hereinafter and those Employers authorizing such associations to represent them for the purpose of collective bargaining, and solely to the extent of such authorization, and such other individual employers which have, or may, become parties to this Agreement. Section 5. Riders NO CHANGE
Single Bargaining Unit. (1) The union parties to this Agreement have formed a single bargaining unit.

The provisions of this Agreement shall apply to all accretions to the bargaining unit, including but not limited to, newly established or acquired terminals, and consolidation of terminals.

To the extent provided by law, this Agreement shall be applied to all subsequent additions to, and extensions of, current common carrier operations of the Employer and newly established operations of the Employer which are utilized as a part of such current operations of the Employer, without additional evidence of Union representation of the employees involved (provided that newly acquired opera- tions of the Employer, which are not utilized as a part of such cur- rent common carrier operation of the Employer, shall not be deemed additions to, or extensions of, operations of the Employer). If the Employer purchases a related common carrier business, the Employer, to the extent allowed by law, recognizes the Teamsters UPS National Negotiating Committee as the bargaining representa- tive and will meet to determine which applicable Supplement cov- ers those employees, and negotiate a new Addendum covering eco- nomic terms if current Supplements do not cover the new job classifications, or, if a current collective bargaining agreement is in place for the acquired employees, then that agreement shall contin- ue by its terms until expiration.
Single Bargaining Unit. If a majority of employees in a unit at another Washington nursing home that is controlled, managed, or operated by the Employer – and that is identified pursuant to the procedures set forth in the Agreement to Advance the Future of Nursing Home Care in Washington (hereafter referred to as the “Advancement Agreement”) – authorize the Union to represent them, the Employer will recognize the Union and apply this collective bargaining agreement. The parties agree that these newly represented employees will become part of the existing, single bargaining unit. In the event that the Union and Employer mutually agree to a card check recognition procedure at a facility covered by the Advancement Agreement, the Employer hereby expressly waives its right to a Board election.
Single Bargaining Unit. It is the intent of the parties that each of the groups of represented employees referenced in Attachment A will be governed by this National Agreement and applicable Operational Supplements, together with any Regional Supplements and/or Local Riders. All employees covered by this National Agreement, the Operational Supplements, and the various Supplements and/or Riders shall constitute one (1) bargaining unit. The printing of this National Agreement and the various Supplements and/or Riders in separate agreements is for convenience only and is not intended to create separate bargaining units. Any lesser conditions contained in any Supplement, Rider or Addendum shall be superseded by the conditions contained in this National Agreement. However, nothing in this National Agreement shall deprive any employee of any superior benefit or term contained in their Supplement, Rider or Addendum.
