Recognition and Definition of Bargaining Unit. 1.1 The University recognizes the Association as the exclusive bargaining agent of the Members of the Bargaining Unit. Until the Parties agree otherwise, the Bargaining Unit is defined by the certificates of the Ontario Labour Relations Board, dated November 7, 1995 and May 1, 2003. These certificates and subsequent amendments, if any, shall be deemed to be incorporated into and become part of this Collective Agreement.

Recognition and Definition of Bargaining Unit. The Board of Education of Minooka School District #201, Grundy, Will and Xxxxxxx Counties, Illinois (hereinafter referred to as the “Board”) recognizes the Minooka Elementary Support Professionals, IEA/NEA (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”) as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all support staff regularly employed in the positions of secretaries, clerical employees, custodians, aides, teacher associates, technology associates, nurses and food service. Members in the Bargaining Unit are all academic staff of Queen’s University at Kingston, in the province of Ontario, who, individually or jointly, are responsible for instruction and evaluation in degree-credit courses, for pay, and who are persons coming within the definition of members of the adjunct academic staff, Group as set out in the June “Statement on Adjunct Academic Staff and Academic Assistants”, as contained in Appendix A save and except: employees covered by subsisting collective agreements; voting members of the Board of Trustees; Associate Deans and above that rank, including without limitation the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Vice-Principals, Associate Vice-Principals, Deans, Vice-Deans, and persons providing confidential assistance in respect of labour relations to persons in one or more of those positions; and anyone who is appointed to act in those positions; the University Librarian and the Associate University Librarian; the University Archivist; physicians with or without academic rank to whom the Ontario Medical Association Dues Act applies persons, including visiting fellows, employed by another university, institution, firm or government agency, and whose duties at Queen’s University are part of their employment at their home university, institution, firm or government agency; post-doctoral fellows and research fellows whose remuneration for teaching at Queen’s University is from an external source; teaching assistants; Adjunct Collective Agreement Between Queen’s University Faculty Association and Queen’s University at Kingston
Recognition and Definition of Bargaining Unit academic assistants, as defined in the June “Statement on Adjunct Academic Staff and Academic Assistants”; persons registered as students at Queen’s University at Kingston who teach in the discipline in which they are registered; persons whose appointments are exclusively for work outside of the Province of Ontario, including persons teaching at the International Study Centre at Castle; the Executive Director and Resident (Academic) Director at the International Study Centre at Castle; those persons who as guest lecturers provide only occasional instruction in a course; persons engaged in supervision of students unless they are otherwise members of the bargaining unit. Clarity note: Supervision of students in clinical, professional and other academic programs is not sufficient to justify inclusion of a person in the bargaining unit. ARTICLE
Recognition and Definition of Bargaining Unit. 2.01 The Employer recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all tenure-track, tenured, teaching and limited term faculty members appointed to teach for twelve (12) months or longer, of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology at Oshawa, save and except Associate Deans, Deputy Xxxxxxx and Associate Provosts and those above the level of Associate Xxxx or Associate Xxxxxxx, Research Associates, Librarians, members of the Board of Governors, those employed on sessional limited term contracts as lecturers to teach one (1) or more degree credit courses, those employed as postdoctoral fellows, and those employed as teaching and research assistants. For clarity: the Parties agree that Visiting Appointments, Emeritus Professors, and Adjunct Appointees are not employees of the University and thus do not fall within the scope of the bargaining unit unless they hold a contract or an additional appointment that falls within the scope of the bargaining unit.
