The Corporation recognises that many employees use the internet, including social media for personal and business purposes. You should therefore have due regard to the Corporation’s Social Media and/or Email Policy and/or Acceptable Usage Policy when using the internet including social media for personal and business purposes.

Social Networking. When using social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter and other sites, where freedom of expression is possible, respect for the school and its community must be demonstrated. Students must not at any time participate in:-

(sample provided) Instruction:  The Course Facilitator for each clinical experience will reinforce expected professional behaviors using the Professional Role Behaviors Policy Statement during course orientation, and may include the policy statement in course materials. Minimally, all course syllabi should state the policy statement is relevant to the course and will be strongly enforced. Discipline:  The Clinical Evaluation Tool for every course will include standardized reference to the critical elements of professional role behaviors as an outcome competency.  Failure to achieve professional role behaviors will be documented in specific terms of violation, intervention, and consequences.  The student and Course Facilitator and/or preceptor will meet to discuss conduct violations and consequences.  Consequences may include course failure, referral, required consultation or an assignment to validate the student’s understanding of the impact of the violation and the significance of the professional conduct. Social Networking. Students shall be educated about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with others on social networking websites and in chat rooms, and cyberbullying awareness and response. The plan shall be for all students to be provided education on these subjects. The Superintendent or the Superintendent's designee shall be responsible for identifying educational materials, lessons, and/or programs suitable for the age and maturity level of the students and for ensuring the delivery of such materials, lessons, and/or programs to students.
Social Networking. We accept that social media, professional networking sites and personal Web sites are all useful technologies. However, at no time should any posts be made in reference to Sydenham / Lighthorne Heath Primary School, the children, the parents or any other professionals that includes employees or volunteers who may come in contact through work. At no time must any photographs or materials be published that identify the setting, its staff or children. Any member of staff found to breach confidentiality or found to be posting remarks deemed to be of a detrimental nature to the pre-school or other employees will face disciplinary action in line with the pre- school’s disciplinary procedure. Students and voluntary workers who breach confidentiality will be asked to leave immediately. Furthermore if a staff member becomes aware of any social networking activity, breach of confidentiality that identifies or makes reference to Sydenham / Lighthorne Heath Primary school, registered children or their families please advise the Head Teacher immediately. What if I’m not happy? We will ensure that you have an opportunity to discuss how you feel about your volunteering with the teacher responsible for you but if you are unhappy in the meantime please tell us! Social Networking. The School and Children’s Centre has a Social Media Policy which should be read in conjunction with this policy. The key requirements for staff are as follows: • Staff members have a responsibility to protect the reputation of the School and Children’s Centre, staff and students at all times and that they treat colleagues, students and associates of the school with professionalism and respect whilst using social networking sites. • Social networking sites should be used responsibly and users should ensure that neither their personal or professional reputation and/or the School’s and Children’s Centre reputation, nor the reputation of individuals within the school are compromised by inappropriate postings. • Use of social networking sites for School and Children’s Centre business is not permitted, unless via an officially recognised School and Children’s Centre site and with the permission of the Head Teacher. • Members of staff will notify the Head Teacher if they consider that any content shared or posted via any information and communications technology, including emails or social networking sites conflicts with their role in the School and Children’s Centre. • No school information, communication, documents, videos and/or images should be posted on any personal social networking sites. • No details or opinions relating to any pupil are to be published on any website. • Users must not knowingly cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to others (cyber bullying) via social networking sites. • No opinions regarding another member of staff, which could cause offence, are to be posted. • No photos or videos, which show pupils of the School and Children’s Centre who are not directly related to the person posting them, should be uploaded to any site other than the School's and Children’s Centre Website. • No comment, images or other material may be posted anywhere, by any method that may bring the School and Children’s Centre or, the profession into disrepute. • Users must not give students access to their area on a social networking site, (for example adding a student as a friend on Facebook). If, in exceptional circumstances, users wish to do so, please seek advice from the Head Teacher.
Social Networking. You recognise that your use of social media can pose risks to our confidential and proprietary information, and reputation, and can jeopardise our compliance with legal obligations. To minimise risk, and to avoid loss of productivity, you shall ensure that social media is never used in a way that jeopardises (whether potential or actual) our reputation or disrupts the efficient interaction of staff or the business generally. You acknowledge that this provision is a fair and reasonable term and if you do act in breach of the terms of this provision, you will fully indemnify for any losses and costs suffered as a result. Words and Phrases Used In This Agreement Charge means the amount payable by us for the Services calculated in accordance with Condition 3.
