Review of Action Items. Xxx X: Okay, approved. Moving right along is the review of action items from the meeting. First action item: GMOB to hold discussions with YKDFN on the response to the community survey and how to get more community response. Xxx: Yes, that was done a number of times in the spring and the summer and the fall, and we just had a member of YKDFN go door to door with the survey. That has just been completed as of yesterday. Xxx X: Thank you. Next action item: GMOB to review the community survey and note comments and suggestions for improvement for the current survey and those in the future. Ben: Yes. Comments, especially in the public meeting were noted. Those will be applied for future surveys. The final report of the survey is going to be done and should be completed by March 31st. We are hoping, actually, that it will be completed in February, but it depends on the contractor to be able to do that. Thank you. Xxx X: Good. Thank you, Xxx. Action item 3: Giant Mine Remediation Project to gather and provide GMOB with economic data for the Project. Xxxxxx: The Project responded back to GMOB with data, once in the summer and just recently last week with a follow-up request. Xxx X: Thanks, Xxxxxx. Action item 4: North Slave Métis Alliance requested feedback from the Parties about how Xxxx Xxxxxx will engage with future document reviews and provide technical input. Xxx: I can respond to that. I just had an email from Xxxx in that regard. They received no feedback. However, I believe with CIRNAC that has been covered off as far as the contract is concerned, but in regard to any feedback from the Parties, they did not receive any. Thank you. Xxx X: Okay, and Action Item 5: Giant Mine Remediation Project to provide GMOB with the requirements for regular reporting for the Wildlife Management and Monitoring Plan.

Review of Action Items. Action Item 1: GNWT to update the Parties on Progress of the Giant Mine Educational Module Xxxxx: Here we go. GNWT to update the parties on progress of the Giant Mine Education Module: Are there any comments on that? Xxxx: Yeah, so I believe in the last meeting, we gave a bit of an update that we’ve had some discussions with the NSMA and the YKDFN around developing an education module for Giant. Those discussions really were around if this could be a wider curriculum piece or an education resource. At the time of the last meeting, we hadn’t had any discussions with Education, Culture, and Employment to really understand what the restrictions would be, if it would be a wider curriculum piece. Both NSMA and YKDFN had expressed that they would like to see this as something that was a curriculum insert. We had met as a Project with GMOB as well and Education, Culture, and Employment, and they really gave us a clear picture of what would be required for this to be a curriculum insert. It’s a difficult process. It’s a lengthy process. They had noted that the Grade 10 curriculum now is the only curriculum that has ever been drafted for the NWT. Most are adopted from Xxxxxx and elsewhere. They strongly recommended that we take the approach of developing a resource, and they noted a number of different resources to us as examples of resources that have been developed and have lived on because they were done really well. So right now, we’re in the process of pulling together the example resources that EC&E recommended we look at. The next steps were to go back to the YKDFN and the NSMA to provide the information again that you see and have provided, and also to provide a clearer picture as to that process if we wanted it to be a curriculum piece. Basically, we’re still in that process of really defining what this will look like and getting an understanding from the Yellowknives and the North Slave Métis Alliance as to the next steps based on how they’d like this to progress. Certainly, Xxx has been involved in this process as well. So, we’ll continue to update folks as we move along. Yeah, I think this is essentially where we are. We’re still plugging along. We want to do it right, and we’ve had a really good conversation with EC&E to get an idea of what a good resource looks like, so we think we’re on a good path. Now it’s just kind of circling back with the appropriate folks. Xxxxx: Alright. Thanks, Xxxx. Are there any comments or observations? Xxxx? Xxxx: A coupl...
Review of Action Items. The meeting reviewed action items from past JTA Sessions (see Annex III). The meeting decided to recommend the JTA transfer ongoing actions to the JTA Operating Principles.
Review of Action Items. Xxxxx: Where were we? The Action Items. The first one is GNWT is to share the Remediation Economy Report, and I don’t know if that’s out yet. It was scheduled to be released in the spring of 2022. Xxxxx? Xxxxx: It is still spring, right? It’s still spring until I can get out to my camp. The Remediation Economy Discussion Paper has been completed. We have presented it to our internal committees, at which point we will be releasing an overview document of the discussion paper on ITI’s GNWT website to solicit input. Also, there will be a link provided to the full report. There will be questions that are targeted for people to answer in addition to letters going out to interested parties to make sure they are aware of this piece coming out. It is now led by ITI. It did sit with us, and with me specifically, to push that through the process. Now, in terms of soliciting engagement and input, that really is an ITI lead, as it sits within their mandate. Our hope was to have that posted before session and that session, I think, started maybe today. I can’t remember, but anyway, in the next few days it will be up, and I will commit to letting this group know when it has gone live.
Review of Action Items. Xxxx: Moving on to Item 3. From the minutes of the last Semi-Annual Meeting, which was on the 27th of August 2020, there were several action items there. We will just briefly go through them. The first item was the Chair of GMOB will submit a final draft of the RFP for the five-year review of the Environmental Agreement to the Parties, RFP Evaluation Committee. The next item is the RFP Evaluation Committee will produce the final RFP version and send it to GMOB administration for posting. The third and final action was GMOB Administration will post the RFP on MERX, GMOB website, and distribute to appropriate community consultants. The view of GMOB is that all of these actions have been completed. Is there anybody that has information contrary to that conclusion?
