QUALIFIERS FOR HOLIDAYS. In order to qualify for payment for these holidays, an employee must work his regularly scheduled shift immediately prior to and immediately following the holiday, except where he is absent from work on sick leave as confirmed by a medical certificate if required by the Hospital, or on an authorized leave of absence of not more than seven (7) calender days. An employee who is scheduled to work on a holiday and who fails to work shall, unless excused by the Hospital, receive no payment for such holiday. An employee who qualified for holiday pay and who is absent on sick leave, shall not be entitled to receive sick leave pay in addition to his holiday pay. ARTICL E G BULLETIN BOARD The Hospital will provide bulletin board space for the purpose of posting notices regarding meetings and other natters restricted to Union matters. Notice of union meetings be posted on department bulletin boards provided they are posted no earlier than five days prior to the date of the meeting and removed no later than the day after the meeting. All such notices must be signed by a member of the Union executive and submitted to the Director of Personnel prior t o being posted.

QUALIFIERS FOR HOLIDAYS. In order to qualify for payment for the above holidays, a full-time employee must work regular shift immediately to and immediately following the holiday. If, however, said employee is absent from work at the time of the holiday with permission of the Hospital due to sickness or authorized leave of absence but is otherwise at work within five (5) working days both before and after the holiday, then the full-time employee will not be disqualified for payment of the holiday. Compensatory time off in lieu of holiday pay shall be granted to a full-time employee by the Hospital unless said employee declares an option for holiday pay, in which case the option shall remain in effect for all holidays during the term of the collective agreement.
