Promoted Employee. The probationary period for a promoted employee shall be three (3) months; provided, at the option of the Employer, the probationary period may be extended, not to exceed three (3) additional months. Promoted employees may be deemed to have failed the probationary status at any time during or at the conclusion of the test period. In the event the employee fails probation in the promotional position, the employee shall be restored to his/her position or an equivalent position in the same wage grade.

Promoted employees may be deemed to have failed the probationary status at any time during or at the conclusion of the test period. The employee will be granted regular status at the end of the probationary period if the employee has performed satisfactorily. If the employee fails the probationary period, she or he will be returned to the same or a similar position from which she or he was promoted so long as the position is within the same bargaining unit and a vacant position exists.
Promoted Employee a. An employee who is promoted to another job classification shall serve a probationary period of forty-five (45) working days.

If the employee elects not to finish the promotional probationary period within the first twenty (20) working days, he/she has the right to return to his/her previous job classification and shall be paid at the rate of pay for the previous classification. When the Board is returning an employee to the prior position, the Superintendent or designee shall meet with the employee to discuss the reason for the decision. The Local President and the employee shall receive a copy of the notice of return to the prior classification. Upon return to the prior classification, the employee shall resume the rate of pay in that classification and continue with seniority unbroken by the temporary position.
Promoted Employee. An employee who has been promoted within the bargaining unit shall serve on probation in their new position for a period of sixty (60) work days during which time the District will make reasonable efforts to provide the necessary training to be successful. An employee moving to a new classification will receive the new rate on their first day of the new position. Their step will be set at whatever step ensures that there will be no loss of pay. Step advancement will occur at the same time as all other employees.
Promoted Employee. It is understood that a promotion has occurred if the new classification has a higher rate of pay on the salary schedule. Promoted Employee. Section 2 A. If an employee does not satisfactorily perform the requirements of the position, the immediate supervisor shall promptly notify the employee of the performance deficiencies in order to give the employee a chance to improve.
