Vacant Position. An approved position which is reflected in the budget complement, which may have been vacated due to death, resignation, retirement, non-renewal, termination, or reassignment.
Vacant Position. Any vacant position in a class shall be deemed to be the most junior employee in the class, and shall be bumped into without advertising the vacancy. However, an employee may not bump into a vacant position in the original class with a greater number of non-overtime hours, or into a vacant position in a lower class with a greater number of hours if it would result in an increase in wages considering the lower rate of pay.
Vacant Position. On a seniority by classification basis, to assume a vacant position in the same bargaining unit, for which they are qualified. County-wide job openings will be according to the Xxxxxxxx County Personnel Policies.
Vacant Position. When it is known that an assistant position is or will become vacant and that it cannot be filled in accordance with the provisions of Article 13 (recall, special or surplus lists), nor in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 (employees covered by Clauses 12.05(b) and 12.08(a)), nor in accordance with the provisions of Clauses 11.02, 11.03 and 11.05:
Vacant Position. A vacant position shall be deemed to exist when there are fewer regular employees than positions in a classification within a post office. When it is known in advance that a position will become vacant, the Corporation may initiate the procedure provided in this article to staff the future vacant position. When a vacant position is abolished, the local Union is informed in writing.
Vacant Position. A position in a job classification in the Unit not filled by an employee in the Unit on a permanent basis is a vacant position.
Vacant Position. Defined as a position requiring the addition of a staff member from outside that building.
Vacant Position. On a county seniority basis, affected employees shall be given first opportunity to be considered for non-promotional vacant bargaining unit positions in the Court for which they are qualified, prior to the vacancy being posted. On a county seniority basis, affected employees shall also be considered for available job openings within the county for which they are qualified.
Vacant Position. A vacant position is an authorized allocated position for which there is no appointed incumbent.
Vacant Position. A position in which the Bargaining Unit member is qualified to serve and which is not filled by a permanent or probationary Bargaining Unit member. It shall not include a position which would be filled by a permanent or probationary Bargaining Unit member, except for the fact that such a Bargaining Unit member is on leave of absence or position leave.
