Common use of Promoted Employee Clause in Contracts

Promoted Employee. The probationary period for a promoted employee shall be three (3) months; provided, at the option of the Employer, the probationary period may be extended for a period not to exceed three (3) additional months. Promoted employees may be deemed to have failed the probationary status at any time during or at the conclusion of the test period. The employee will be granted regular status at the end of the probationary period if the employee has performed satisfactorily. If the employee fails the probationary period, she or he will be returned to the same or a similar position from which she or he was promoted so long as the position is within the same bargaining unit and a vacant position exists.
