Shifts and Days Off. Shifts and days off by seniority as defined in Article 16.1 will be granted in accordance with the current practices in force in the corrections and patrol divisions. The County may depart from seniority to schedule as required for training of a new employee, for special assignments (marine and forest deputy, DARE, school resources deputy, DA or child abuse investigator and other Multi- disciplinary Task Force assignments, for example). The Sheriff may designate particular shifts and shift hours, not inconsistent with Article 8.6, associated with such assignments.

Shifts and Days Off. 27.1 Shift assignments will be awarded on the basis of seniority. All shift positions will be re-bid at least once every six (6) months; provided, Maintenance Controllers may only change fleets during the bid in April of each year. The Parties may eliminate the aforementioned fleet restriction by mutual agreement.
Shifts and Days Off. The Employer shall make shift assignments semi-annual, effective January 1st and July 1. Shift assignments will be made within each Division of the Department based upon the written preference of each employee in order of rank and seniority to the extent that it is possible to do so and to also have a sufficient number of personnel with needed skills and qualifications on each shift. Barring emergency conditions, special assignments, employee disciplinary action or other unexpected staffing situations which necessitates reassignment of personnel, shift assignments will not be changed during the year. When it is necessary to reassign shifts as described above, affected employee(s) will be given three (3) days prior notice before the change takes effect. Days off shall be scheduled as follows: Sergeants: Detective Bureau Sergeants, Professional Standards, Road Administrative Sergeants and Court Services Sergeants shall work Monday through Friday and have Saturdays and Sundays off. The twelve Sergeants working 12 hour shifts shall bid together for their shift and days off assignments. Each of the four teams (crews) described in Article 7 shall have three positions available for bid: a Jail position, a Flex position and a Uniform Patrol position. The Sergeants who bid for or are assigned to the Flex position will be required to work in both the Jail or the Uniform Patrol as needed. All 16 Sergeants may be called upon to work different assignments during their scheduled hours of work. However the Sheriff will limit these assignments to 10 working days per semi-annual shift bid cycle. For the purposes of this limitation, a Sergeant in a Flex position will not be considered reassigned unless they are assigned to duties outside both the Jail and Uniform Patrol. Lieutenants: The shift shall be 0800-1600 with Saturdays & Sundays off. Captain: With Saturdays and Sundays off. Shift or day off exchange within the fourteen (14) day pay period by mutual agreement among employees in the same rank will be permitted with the approval of the supervisor or supervisors involved when it does not require the payment of overtime.
Shifts and Days Off. Whenever there is more than one (1) shift within the same 15 job classification, employees shall, on an annual sign-up basis, indicate their preference of 16 facility, shift and days off according to their respective seniority. The Corrections Commander or 17 their designee will make shift/days off/facility assignments based on seniority preference to the 18 extent that they determine they are consistent and do not conflict with the needs of the Office of 19 the Sheriff. Such determinations by the Corrections Commander shall be reasonable. However, 20 probationary deputies may be reassigned or rotated among shifts and facilities for any reason. 21 If vacation bidding by shift is terminated pursuant to the MOU between the parties, this section 22 shall thereafter be read as though the word “facility” did not appear herein.

  • Days Off 17.1 The Employer shall schedule two (2) consecutive days off for each employee each week provided that it is recognized that due to the nature of the Employer’s operation in providing a public service, the scheduling of two (2) consecutive days off may not always be feasible. The employer may request through the union that the employee forego two consecutive days off.

  • Scheduled Days Off Except in cases of emergency, no employee will be required to return to his/her place of employment on his/her scheduled day off.

  • Rostered Days Off 36.1 The ordinary working hours shall be worked in a 10 day/2 week cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive with eight hours worked on each of nine days within the cycle and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which shall be taken as a paid day off. The tenth day will be known as the Rostered Day Off or (RDO).

  • Working Days E9.9 Without prejudice to clause 9.1, where the Authority funds the delivery of this Contract using European Social Fund (ESF) funds or in its role as a Co-financing Organisation uses this contract as a match for ESF provision, either at the outset of the contract or at any point during the life of the contract, the Contractor and any Sub-contractors appointed by it shall be bound by the corresponding additional requirements detailed within relevant Contractor Guidance, including the maintaining of records until at least 31 December 2023.

  • Overtime Lieu Time Where an employee has worked an accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours related to paid holidays) such employee shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate or time off equivalent to the applicable overtime rate (i.e. where the applicable rate I time and one-half, then time off shall be at one and one-half times. Where an employee chooses the latter option, such time off must be taken within the succeeding two pay periods of the occurrence of the overtime at a time mutually agreeable to the Hospital and the employee, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. An employee shall not be required to take time off to avoid payment of overtime.

  • Lieu Days Where an employee is granted a lieu day pursuant to Clause 17.3 or 17.4 of this Agreement, the time off granted will be seven (7) hours per lieu day for a full-time employee and prorated for a part-time employee.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Sick Days Employees will be provided with 6 sick days per calendar year. Sick days are paid at 75% of the employee’s step rate.
