Seniority Preference. In the establishment of new work week schedules, the Employer shall give preference to employees in accordance with seniority.
Seniority Preference. Senior employees shall be given preference in the selection of vacation periods. An employee who splits a vacation may exercise seniority rights for the initial vacation period. However, subsequent selection shall be made after all employees have their initial selection. All vacation requests will be approved or denied in writing by the employee’s immediate supervisor. Vacation requests submitted by an employee shall be acted upon by the employee’s supervisor and returned to the employee within three (3) working days of receipt of the vacation schedule request. It is agreed that vacation requests will not be unreasonably denied and that every effort will be made to accommodate the vacations.

In the event of layoff and so long as there is work available which they are able to perform, the following officers of the Union during their term of office only shall be considered as having leading seniority only as applied to layoff and recall after layoff: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary and ten (10)

Due to language requirements and/or consumer preference factors, the registry may bypass a senior home care worker who, by virtue of seniority would be referred to a particular consumer. In such cases, the referral will be given to the most senior available home care worker who can satisfy language requirements and/or the consumer preference. Additionally, in such cases the Employer shall give the bypassed home care worker the next opportunity for referral for additional work, subject to the provisions of this Section. This Section shall not prevent the Employer from making multiple worker referrals to the same consumer, so long as referrals are made in seniority order.
Seniority Preference. Preference for leave scheduling will be on the basis of seniority within classification and/or as has been past practice.
Seniority Preference. 273 The President shall have seniority preference over all other employees in the selection of work schedules, vacation schedules and shift bidding. Seniority preference for the President will cease with completion of his/her elected union appointment, and, his/her next shift bid, vacation schedule and work schedule assignment will be based on Bargaining Unit seniority as specified in this Agreement.
