Overtime Call-In Procedure. In the event that the Employer determined the need to call-in an employee or employees for work that needs to be done outside of the scheduled work hours, such call-in shall be on the basis of seniority by division. The Employer shall maintain a list in each division listing the employees in that division by seniority. At such time as the need for call-in overtime should arise, the Employer shall first offer the call-in overtime assignment to the most senior employee on the list in that division. If, after reasonable attempt, the Employer is unable to contact the most senior employee, or the most senior employee declines the call-in overtime assignment, the Employer shall continue down the list in descending order of seniority, until such time as the call-in overtime assignment is filled.

  • Overtime Procedure It will be considered necessary overtime when an officer must continue working past his/her regularly scheduled hours of employment to fulfill his/her duty. Supervisory approval must first be obtained, provided a supervisor is on duty. The officer shall give a reasonable account of his/her overtime on his/her daily log. Any denial by the Sheriff to pay overtime shall be accompanied by a written explanation. The employee may appeal the denial of the Sheriff to the grievance procedure contained herein.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Annual Leave Exclusive of Public Holidays The period of annual leave prescribed by this clause is exclusive of any public holidays, and if any such holiday falls within an employee’s period of annual leave and is observed on a day which in the case of that employee would have been an ordinary working day, there will be added to the period of annual leave time equivalent to the ordinary time which the employee would have worked if such day had not been a holiday.

  • ARTICLE GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE The parties to this Agreement are agreed that it is of the utmost importance to adjust complaints and grievances as quickly as possible. Unless agreed to by both the Company and the Union, no grievance shall be presented, the alleged circumstances of which originated or occurred, or should have come to the attention of the employee concerned, more than five (5) working days prior to its original presentation in writing at Step A grievance shall consist of a dispute concerning interpretation and/or application of any Article, Schedule or Clause in this Agreement. Should a grievance arise it shall be handled as follows. Prior to filing a formal grievance, an employee will, with the assistance of his xxxxxxx, refer the on an informal basis to his immediate Supervisor. If the grievance cannot be settled as a result of this discussion, then it may be dealt with as follows: STEP The employee shall a written grievance with his immediate Supervisor within five (5) working days of the incident giving rise to the complaint. STEP If no settlement is reached at Step the the Union Grievance Committee and representatives of Management shall meet to discuss the grievance within five (5) working days of receipt of the reply of the Plant Manager. The Union's National Representative will be in attendance at this meeting. If the grievance is not settled within five (5) working days it may be referred to arbitration as hereinafter provided. The Union or the Company may initiate a grievance beginning at Step of the Grievance Procedure. However, time limits specified in the Grievance Procedure may be extended by mutual agreement in writing between the Company and the Union. An employee who has been discharged or suspended may file a written grievance at Step within five (5) working days of the discharge or suspension. Rolling Sunset Clause: In taking disciplinary action within twenty-four (24) months from the date of a suspension or dismissal (reinstatement) for a similar infraction, the Company may consider the employee's entire record preceding suspension or dismissal (reinstatement), as the case may be.   • CULTURAL LEAVE FOR ABORIGINAL EMPLOYEES The Superintendent of Schools or their designate, may grant five (5) paid days per year leave with seven (7) days written notice from the employee to participate in Aboriginal Cultural event(s). Such leave shall not be unreasonably denied.
