Notice of Illness. An Employee who will be absent from duty on account of sickness or injury, shall notify her/his immediate supervisor or designate (if immediate supervisor not on duty), at least one (1) hour prior to the commencement of the scheduled shift, indicating the nature and expected duration of such illness. No Employee shall be entitled to benefits for time previous to such notification unless the delay shall be shown to be unavoidable.

Notice of Illness. 15.3.1 Any employee absent from duty due to sickness shall inform the supervisor and the Central office by eight thirty a.m. (8:30 a.m.) unless prevented by hospitalization or emergency.
