Job Vacancy Posting. The Port agrees to post examination announcements for represented positions on the official Port bulletin board outside of the Port Personnel Department. Announcements for examinations conducted by the Port Personnel Department will be posted no later than ten (10) working days before that application filing date. Announcements for examinations conducted by the City of Oakland Personnel Department will be posted one (1) day after receipt from the Port of Oakland. Examination announcements and application forms for represented positions will be available through the Port Personnel Department. The Port will also transmit and post, as soon as possible, copies of examination announcements for represented positions at the Harbor Facilities office, Construction Department office, the Airport Facilities office, the Main Port Building at 000 Xxxxx Xxxxxx, and Building M104 at the South Airport. In addition, the Port will transmit copies of examination announcements for represented positions to the Union as soon as possible. The posting sites may be changed by mutual agreement.

Job Vacancy Posting. 9.1.1 All unit vacancies shall be posted on bulletin boards at each work site and a copy sent via electronic mail to all bargaining unit members by the District not less than seven (7) days at designated work locations prior to being permanently filled. Any employee may apply for a vacant position with the Human Resources Department. Bargaining unit transfer requests shall be considered pursuant to Article 10 prior to any hiring process being initiated by the District.

Job Vacancy Posting. As the parties transition the stores to the New Work Model, the parties shall remain committed to providing movement opportunities for employees while maintaining the need for stores to remain financially viable. All employees will use their hire date to apply for job vacancy postings. Once the parties deem the New Work Model transition process complete, the following process shall commence. A job vacancy is created when a Grid A employee terminates employment. All job vacancies will be posted in-store and electronically for ten (10) days. All employees are eligible to apply for Job Vacancy postings. Positions shall be filled by seniority provided the employee is able to perform the normal requirements of the job. In cases where technical training is required (eg. Pharmacy Assistant or Regulated Pharmacy Technician), the successful applicant must possess the appropriate experience or have successfully completed the approved training program (which is only available externally). Job postings are awarded by Seniority and the successful applicant must possess the qualifications required. Job vacancies will be posted to the province. First priority shall go to applicants within the store’s Geographic Area.   • VACANCIES AND JOB POSTINGS 17.01 When a job vacancy or vacancies occur within the bargaining unit and the Employer intends to fill the vacancy, the Employer will post an announcement of such vacancy or vacancies on all Union bulletin boards.   • JOB POSTING Where a permanent vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit is established by the Hospital, such vacancy shall be posted for a period of seven (7) consecutive calendar days. Applications for such vacancy shall be made in writing within the seven (7) day period referred to herein. Where the end of the seven (7) days falls on a weekend, or a holiday (as defined in Article L.18.1), the posting will close on the first business day following. In matters of promotion and staff transfer appointment shall be made of the senior applicant able to meet the normal requirements of the job. Successful employees need not be considered for other vacancies within a six (6) month period unless an opportunity arises which allows the employee to change his or her permanent status. The name of the successful applicant will be posted on the bulletin boards for a period of seven (7) calendar days. Where there are no successful applicants from within this bargaining unit for vacant positions referred to in this Article, employees in other CUPE bargaining units at the Hospital will be selected in accordance with the criteria for selection above, prior to considering persons who are not member of CUPE bargaining units at the Hospital. The employees eligible for consideration shall be limited to those employees who have applied for the position in accordance with this Article, and selection shall be made in accordance with this Article. The successful applicant shall be allowed a trial period of up to thirty (30) days, during which the Hospital will determine if the employee can satisfactorily perform the job. Within this period the employee may voluntarily return, or be returned by the Hospital to the position formerly occupied, without loss of seniority. The vacancy resulting from the posting may be filled on a temporary basis until the trial period is completed. A list of vacancies filled in the preceding month under this Article and the names of the successful applicants will be posted, with a copy provided to the Union.

  • Job Postings The employee may apply for a job posting at either home based on their seniority at the designated employer. The vacancy will be filled in accordance with Article 9 of the collective agreement. Where seniority is the deciding factor the most senior candidate will be selected regardless of which home her/his seniority was accumulated.

  • Posting and Filling of Vacancies 8.1(1) When a permanent vacancy occurs within a classification covered by this agreement, which the Employer intends to fill, after the Employer applies the internal job transfer bidding procedure and the ultimate vacancy is thereby identified, such vacancy shall be advertised for ten (10) calendar days provided that nothing herein shall prevent the Employer from advertising such vacancy throughout its system or outside during the ten (10) day period. Probationary employees may, at the sole discretion of the Employer, be considered for another position outside their classification after the signing date of this agreement. The Corporation reserves the sole and absolute right to carry out any applicable interviewing or testing that is necessary in its opinion. All test processes will be approved by qualified Human Resources staff. An employee will only be allowed to take one test failure for each different job classification bid every four (4) months. Current employees applying for positions which involve increased driving responsibilities must meet corporate driving standards and provide with application a current driving abstract. The opinion of the Employer shall not be exercised in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner.

  • JOB VACANCIES Vacancies or new positions shall be awarded to the senior employee applicant where the employee currently possesses the necessary capabilities to perform the work. Qualifications for the job shall be posted by the Employer, and the posting shall include the shift and number of hours for the position. No employee shall be eligible to bid on a job vacancy or new position until the employee has worked in the employee's existing job for a minimum of one hundred eighty (180) days. The provisions of the preceding sentence shall not apply when employees bid on vacancies or new positions in the employee's same classification. All vacancies shall be bulletined for a minimum of five (5) calendar days, and notice of the same furnished to the Union at the same time. Each Hospital shall develop a system to ensure that only applicants signing the posting during the five calendar day posting period will be considered. Temporary assignments may be made during such posting period only; provided assignments to a new classification may be on a temporary basis for ten (10) days. If a question arises as to the capability of an employee to perform the employee's duties after the above herein procedure has been used, that question, and any other question incidental thereto pertaining to the employee's classification and rate of pay, shall be settled by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union. If such questions cannot be so settled, they shall be settled by arbitration as provided in Article 2. In filling vacancies or new positions, senior employees in the classification where the vacancy or new position is located shall be given preference. In the event that the vacant or new position cannot be filled with a qualified employee from that classification then qualified applicants from other classifications within the bargaining unit will be considered based on bargaining unit seniority.

  • Posting of Vacancies At the point the Department proceeds to fill a vacant position by open competition, lateral transfer or promotion, such information will be publicized within the Department for a minimum of five (5) working days.
