E-Safety. School recognises that it has a duty to ensure the safety of pupils in the digital ‘virtual’ world. Pupils use technology inside and outside school providing opportunities for learning but there are also risks to young people. We use technology to deliver innovative lessons, educating pupils in the potential and responsibilities which come with new technology. We provide a safe online environment within school and teach students about different risks, including bullying, harassment, grooming, identity theft and personal data protection. The nature of technological advance means School reviews its provision and policies regarding safe ICT use. E-safety is a topic incorporated into PSHE lessons and computing lessons in the Prep and Senior Schools. Pupils study a wide ranging programme of e-Safety materials in PSHE and computing lessons. The School addresses online safety issues such as cyber- bullying and sexting through its PSHE programme and in computing lessons. Prep School pupils receive e-safety advice. This policy covers both devices provided by the School and devices owned by pupils and staff and brought into school.

E-Safety. ICT and its related technologies such as email, the internet and mobile devices are an expected part of our daily working life in the academy. This agreement is designed to ensure that all students are aware of the responsibilities when using any form of ICT, inside the academy or outside the academy. All students are expected to sign this agreement and adhere at all times to its contents, whether inside or outside the academy. The below is not intended to be an exhaustive list. Users should use their own good judgement when using academy technologies inside the academy, and internet social networking sites outside the academy. • Make sure your posts reflect well on the academy and do not present the academy in a negative light • Make full use of the internet and academy technologies such as GCSE Pod and Show My Homework • All posts should be positive. The academy will not tolerate offensive language/or comments on internet/social media, whether this is inside or outside our academy.

Staying safe in the digital world is as important as staying safe in the real world. KEEP SAFE. Keep it private • Online - Make sure that you keep yours and other people’s personal information private. Adjust the privacy setting on your personal profiles so that you can control who views your pictures • On your mobile - Don’t give out your mobile number to people you don’t know. Keep your security number or PIN private. Keep your mobile hidden when you’re on the street Keep it cool • Online - If you are being bullied online you have a right not to have to deal with it on your own. Save any bullying messages or conversations, and show them to an adult, or member of staff, you trust to help you deal with the problem • On your mobile - If you start getting texts that upset or annoy you, don’t reply. Keep a record and report the texts to an adult, network operator or the police. You can also speak to a Learning Coach, a Counsellor or member of the Safeguarding Team Keep it legal • Online - Be aware of the effects of your online activities. This includes illegally downloading media, as well as bullying others. You are not anonymous online and things can be traced back to you • On your mobile - If you receive a rude or embarrassing picture or text about someone, don’t pass it on. Sending sexual pictures of other young people by mobile phone is illegal Keep in mind • Online - Not everything you see or everyone you meet online is trustworthy People you have met online are still strangers, no matter how long you have been talking to them. Anyone can put or say anything on the internet • On your mobile - Think before you send a picture or video from your phone. Don’t give out anyone else’s number or take a photo of them without their agreement

Pupils in Year 7 study for the British Computer Society Level 1 Award in e-safety. Junior School pupils receive e-safety advice from the Police Community Officer. This policy covers both devices provided by the School and devices owned by students and staff and brought into school.
E-Safety. I understand that All Saints Academy will monitor my use of the systems, devices and digital communications. • I understand that All Saints Academy systems and devices are primarily intended for educational use within the Academy and at home. I will not use them for personal or recreational use unless I have permission. • I will respect otherswork and property and will not access, copy, remove or otherwise alter any other user’s files, without the owner’s knowledge and permission. • I understand the risks and will not try to upload, download or access any materials which are illegal or inappropriate or may cause harm or distress to others, nor will I try to use any programmes or software that might allow me to bypass the filtering / security systems in place to prevent access to such materials. • I should ensure I have permission to use the original work of others in my own work. Misuse: • I understand that any misuse of my device or non-compliance with the Acceptable Use Agreement will result in my iPad being temporarily removed. • I understand that if I fail to comply with this Acceptable Use Agreement, I will be subject to disciplinary action. This may include loss of access to the school network and relevant sanctions the school deems necessary which may include contact with parents/carers and in the event of illegal activities involvement of the police. • I will not remove the All Saints Academy asset number from the back of the device as this is used to identify the owner of devices internally. • I understand the school also has the right to take action against me if I am involved in incidents of inappropriate behaviour, that are covered in this agreement, when I am out of school and where they involve my membership of the school community (examples would be cyber-bullying, use of images or personal information).

E-Safety. Students receive regularly updated advice on E-Safety and are reminded about appropriate behaviour online. As a school we expect parents to support the school in ensuring any electronic communication is used responsibly and appropriately following the guidelines in the E-safety policy.
E-Safety. I will support and promote the school’s e-Safety policy and social media policy and help pupils learn to be safe and responsible in their use of ICT, related technologies and social networking. I will support pupils in learning how to stay safe on the internet, recognise cyber- bullying and encourage them to report incidents and keep them safe from harm. I will also support parent and carer understanding of related issues. I will support the school’s approach to online safety and not deliberately upload or add any images, video, sounds or text that could upset or offend any member of the school community. If I discover inappropriate/illegal sites, or inappropriate/illegal use by an adult or pupil, the machine should be isolated and the Head Teacher notified as a matter of urgency, who will then contact the police. I will ensure that my online activity, both in school and outside school, will not bring my professional role into disrepute. I will not add pupils/students as ‘friends’ on any social networking sites and will report any concerns to the Head Teacher. If pupils attempt to contact me via social media, I will also inform the Head Teacher immediately. I will not post any comments on social networking sites which are likely to bring my professional or school reputation into disrepute. The school believes it is far safer for staff not to accept either school children or ex-pupils as ‘friends’. If I make an exception to this guidance I will refer directly to the Head teacher to inform my decision. x.x. xxxxx person is also a family member.
