Sick and Personal Leave. The Assistant Principal shall annually be entitled to twelve (12) days of sick leave and two (2) days of personal leave. Unused personal leave days will accumulate as sick leave days. Earned sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 340 days. Every sick day that is issued for the current school year and eventually not utilized during that school year will be multiplied by 1.5 at the end of the school year (e.g., 10 unused sick days on June 30, 2022 will be converted in a credit of 15 sick days for the Assistant Principal’s use.) This unused sick day multiplier will not be in effect during the four (4) years prior to retirement.

Sick and Personal Leave. Payout Eligibility 4-1 At the time of termination, employees who have completed twenty (20) years of qualifying service will be eligible for a Sick and Personal Leave payout. Qualifying service will be measured to the last day of active employment unless the employee has an annual contract that has been fulfilled. In such case the last day of the contract year shall be used to determine service.
Sick and Personal Leave. In the event of an eligible employee's absence from work because of non-occupational sickness or injury, he/she shall be entitled to leave with pay during each year of continuous and active service as provided below. Such leave with pay may also be used for personal reasons, once the employee has received his/her supervisor’s prior approval.

Availability - Teachers/specialists (hereafter referred to as staff members) will have available beginning on the first day of school, ten (10) sick leave days and three (3) personal leave days. During employment, the Chief Executive Officer shall be entitled to the maximum sick leave and personal leave as provided to regularly-appointed full- time administrators of the District, pursuant to State law, which is currently fifteen (15) days of sick leave and three (3) days of personal leave annually. The Chief Executive Officer shall be allowed to use all accrued sick and personal leave while employed by the District, subject to the same eligibility limits for use as regularly-appointed full-time administrators of the District. The Chief Executive Officer shall be eligible for payment for accrued unused sick leave, if any, at the Chief Executive Officer’s then current rate of compensation upon retirement, subject to any limits established by State law, including Ohio Revised Code § 124.39, or Board policy.
