Joint Uniform Committee. The University and Local 1356 shall form a Joint Uniform Committee consisting of a maximum of eight (8) members, with equal representation from each Party, including representatives from a cross section of operational units. The Committee shall meet at least once per year or more frequently as required. The Committee shall discuss issues of concern to either of the Parties and proposed changes to uniforms.

The purposes of the Committee include: - Discuss and resolve disputes arising from requests on clothing matters; - Provide recommendations for consideration by the KFR administration and the Union with respect to facilitating the administration of the clothing issue or with respect to concerns relative to items of uniform issue; - Develop guidelines for clothing issue standards and make recommendations to the Union and management; - In the event that a new item of uniform or a substitute is chosen, the Joint Uniform Committee will recommend to KFR administration the appropriate point value of the item based on comparable items of the similar value; - Investigate instances where members have lost, stolen, or damaged items and make recommendations in these instances on how replacement will be provided; and - Review and establish annual point allotments for each Division. New Employees • Employees hired before April 1st of each year will be credited with the full 100 points to use the following calendar year as outlined above. Employees hired after April 1st will be credited with 10 points per month that they work in the calendar year to a maximum of 80 points that they will use as outlined above. Joint Uniform Committee. The Company and the Union agree to maintain a joint Uniform Committee for the purpose of providing STA’s with the most practical and professional uniform possible. The Committee shall be comprised of the Manager, Field Operations, a Field Supervisor, four (4) SkyTrain Attendants, (ideally two male, two female), supported by the Materials Clerk as required. The Committee will normally meet twice per year to discuss significant uniform deficiencies and make recommendations for improvements to the current uniform issue to the Company. Additional meetings may be scheduled if required. The Committee will be chaired by the Manager, Field Operations. The Secretary will be a Union representative. The Company will consider all recommendations made by the Committee where practical, within budgetary constraints and, in accordance with established uniform policies. Additionally, the Committee may make recommendations for revising uniform policies as appropriate. In the event the Company decides to change the overall uniform design, the Committee will participate in reviewing design concepts, encouraging input from all STA’s on the design concepts, assisting with sampling and sizing of new uniforms, providing feedback from STA’s at Committee meetings and, assisting in sourcing new products or supplier(s). It is acknowledged that additional meetings may be required for this purpose. For consistency, should a complete re-design of the uniform be undertaken, Company and Union representation on the Committee should not be changed until the design phase of the process has been completed.   • JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE 5.01 A Joint Advisory Committee shall operate during the term of this agreement consisting of one (1) employee representative from each location and up to an equal number of employer representatives who shall meet at least once every six (6) months to discuss working conditions, economy of operation, quality and quantity of service, safety and health, workplace stress, violence and abuse prevention, and other matters to promote an ongoing harmonious relationship between the Employer and its employees.   • Oversight Committee The Company and Union shall each appoint two members to be part of an Oversight Committee. The Oversight Committee will attempt to resolve any issues that may arise regarding this Letter of Agreement. Issues that the Oversight Committee cannot resolve will be escalated to the Company’s and Union’s respective designees to attempt resolution prior to a grievance being filed and Subsection 102.3(a)(2) timelines will be waived. The new requirement to successfully complete the course will be effective with those internal bidders, including those awarded the positions through an Unrestricted Award, who are beginning the apprenticeship on August 1, 2019, or later. An internal bidder who is unsuccessful at the Three-Day Climbing Course will be bypassed for that specific job award. However, the employee will be provided one additional opportunity to successfully complete the course should he or she receive an additional Apprentice Lineman bid or award.
