Education Committee. (a) The Employer will establish an Education Committee for all employees in the facility, which shall include at least one representative from ONA members.
(b) The Employer agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the Union attending such meetings.
(c) The purpose of the committee is to promote an environment that supports continuous learning and enhances opportunities for career development.
(d) This committee will meet at least twice per year and/or as mutually agreed.
(e) This Committee will assist in the assessment, analysis, development and evaluation of the education programs at the facility.
Education Committee. 20.5.1 The Education Committee will consist of 3 Union and 3 College Representatives.
20.5.2 The Committee's central purpose is to investigate and report on:
a) training connected with technological change; b) professional and career development needs of employees.
20.5.3 There will be regular meetings, as determined by the Committee.
20.5.4 Copies of all minutes will be circulated to the College and the Union.
Education Committee. (a) The parties to this Collective Agreement acknowledge the mutual benefits to be derived from education development. To this effect the parties agree that consultation will be held through the Education Committee.
(b) The Education Committee shall be composed of two representatives from each party who shall meet at mutually satisfactory times. Committee meetings shall normally be held on the Employer’s premises during working hours.
(c) Employees forming the continuing membership of the Education Committee shall be protected against any loss of normal pay by reason of attendance at such meetings with the Employer, including reasonable travel time where applicable.
(d) A list of names of the applicants to whom the Employer grants leave under Clause 19.02 will be provided to the Union representative on the Education Committee.
(e) The Employer recognizes the use of such committee for the purpose of providing information, discussing the application of policy, promoting understanding and reviewing problems.
(f) It is understood that no commitment may be made by either party on a subject that is not within their authority or jurisdiction, nor shall any commitment made be construed as to alter, amend, add to or modify the terms of this Collective Agreement.
Education Committee. The parties to this Agreement acknowledge the mutual benefits to be derived from consultation shall continue to engage in joint consultation on all matters related to education, including professional development activities.
Education Committee. The Committee shall be composed of the following:
(1) Chief of Police or the Chief's designated representative; and
(2) Association President or his designated representative. The Committee shall determine the appropriateness of courses and/or curriculum outside of the above-named majors. In the event the members of the Committee are unable to agree on the appropriateness of the courses and curriculum, the City Manager shall be asked to participate in the decision making process and shall be entitled to vote therein.
Education Committee. There shall be an Education Committee which shall confer with the Centre’s Music Education staff on such matters as young audience development, young artist training, music resources for parents, teachers and students, and for local and tour activities. Rates of pay and working conditions for educational activities will be discussed with the Orchestra Committee.
Education Committee. An Education Committee shall be established. The Committee shall create, evaluate and recommend curriculum to meet the needs of job specific duties. The Union representatives shall be filled by the Business Manager. Committee recommendations will be presented to Management.
Education Committee. There shall be an active education committee in fish processing companies, which comprises representatives of employees and management of the company in question. The function of the education committee is to support increased vocational education among employees and to provide advice about holding courses.
Education Committee. 8.00 A minimum of two (2) teachers employed by the School Corporation shall be members of each educational committee in the School Corporation, and they shall have the same rights as granted by the by-laws and constitution of the School Corporation to other members except they shall not have the right to be present on matters involving engagement or dismissal of personnel and matters of discipline.
Education Committee. An Education Committee shall be instituted and maintained in the Employer’s Hospital and meet at least quarterly for not less than two (2) hours per quarter. The Hospital will allow for Education Committee members’ work schedules to accommodate the additional responsibilities of the Committee. The Education Committee shall function as a sub-committee of the Conference Committee and be accountable to the Conference Committee. The members of the Committee commit to report to the Conference Committee and to promote the combined interests of the Hospital and the Association. The Education Committee shall develop specific objectives and operating procedures subject to review by the Conference Committee. The Committee will consist of a Chair holding at least a .2 FTE position as RN Education Coordinator. In addition, the Committee shall include six (6) Staff Nurses, one (1) from each patient care department, who are appointed by the Education Committee and the Conference Committee. Committee Members will be paid at their regular rate of pay for their work on the Committee. The Committee will continue to develop operating procedures and design education programs to meet the interests defined in Section 19.2, Staff Development, Education and Training, of the Agreement. The Committee will evaluate the preceptor program to determine what changes need to be made or additions would be needed to improve the program for both preceptors and preceptees. Committee rotation shall function as follows: term of commitment shall be two (2) years with three (3) of the six (6) members rotating off the Committee annually during the fall quarter. The Committee will solicit new members interested in Committee membership. If a member who is rotating off wishes to remain on the Committee the member may indicate such interest to the Committee Chair. The member will then be included in the selection process. The Education Committee will make recommendations for membership to be approved by the Conference Committee.
