Children’s Services. 17.11 For Direct Support Professional positions in any Home funded or licensed all or in part under the Children and Family Services Act (or successor legislation) or funded directly by the Children’s Aid Society the Employer will have the right to hire one (1) Worker per child who is not presently a member of the bargaining unit who has a history with the child as their Worker, without the requirement of job posting and whose selection may not be the subject of a grievance by an employee or the Union. Seniority for an employee hired pursuant to this sub-article shall be calculated in accordance with sub-article 17.14.7.

Children’s Services. In order for this Contract to be valid and enforceable, it must be signed by the County Administrator, and by an authorized agent of Vendor’s Name. This Contract is effective as of this 1st day of July, 2021, between the Xxxxxxxxx County Department of Children’s Services (“the Buyer”) and vendor name (“the Provider”), and shall expire at the close of business on 30th day of June, 2023. This is a term agreement for requirements and does not involve a definite financial obligation on the part of the Buyer, although the Buyer shall use this contract for the limitation of procurement of services as seen fit and or specified. This Contract may be terminated by either party with thirty (30) days written notice.

Children’s Services. Protective clothing will be supplied at no cost to the Employee and be replaced on an as needs basis by the Council. PPE provision upon commencement for all Employees includes: ▪ Gumboots ▪ Weatherproof and windproof jacket – up to the value of $120.00 The standard PPE clothing provision for Children’s Services Employees on an annual basis is as follows: ▪ 4 x items of clothing (long sleeved shirts or vests) ▪ Footwear allocation - up to the value of $110.00 Reimbursement for the purchase of footwear will be made upon presentation of a receipt as proof of purchase. Should an Employee wish to purchase items in excess of the allocated amount the residual cost is to be met by the Employee. This clothing will be that which is approved by the organisation and will signify appropriate identification of the Children’s Services department. It is expected that Employees provided with this clothing will wear it at all times when engaged in the Children’s Services area. Replacement of items damaged through work related incidents or general wear and tear may occur during the period providing that the worn-out items are presented to the Manager Children’s Services. Any variation or alternative approval to this process is at the discretion of the Manager Children’s Services. For the avoidance of doubt, any office-based Employees will be entitled to the equivalent uniform allowance of a Council Officer.
