Attendance Incentive Plan a. A vacation-earning employee who accumulates a total of fifty (50) days or more of full-pay illness absence credit earned subsequent to June 30, 1995 shall, on a one-time basis of June 30 of the school year in which the employee accumulated those fifty (50) days, be credited with two (2) additional days of vacation. An employee whose full-pay illness absence credit earned subsequent to June 30, 1995 thereafter drops below 50 or more days shall not be entitled to additional vacation under this section, except pursuant to section b, below.

Attendance Incentive Plan. 1. The number of accumulated sick leave days will be established at the end of the school year for the ensuing school year. Employees will receive written notice of her/his accumulation at the end of each year on her/his paycheck voucher or stub.
Attendance Incentive Plan. The Attendance/Incentive Plan pilot project first begun in January, 1982, shall be extended for the time period July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018. The plan contained herein will be subject to approval by both parties to extend it beyond June 30, 2015. Those members with one (1) or fewer days absences in the prior six (6) months chargeable to sick leave shall receive the amount listed below payable within thirty (30) days after the end of each six month period. Attendance Incentive Plan. Plan is intended to reward regular attendance in order to improve the instructional program and reduce the costs of absenteeism. It is understood that any absences for illness or personal necessity, including those beyond the control of the employee, will adversely affect an employee's entitlements under this Plan. This Attendance Incentive Plan provides incentive payments which are intended to reduce employees' use of illness and personal necessity leave yet does not discourage the use of such leaves when appropriate and necessary; however, the Plan's incentive payments for annual unused illness leave do not reduce or otherwise affect the employee's accumulations of unused illness days or retirement service credit for unused illness days and have no impact upon vacation benefits.

Attendance Incentive Plan. The Board and the Union recognize the importance of reporting to work on a regular and predictable basis. Effective September 1, 2010 an employee will be eligible for one additional Personal Leave day after September 1st of each year, providing the employee has used five (5) or less sick days during the previous school year, ending June 30th. Employees who have a disability as defined by the Human Rights Code that is certified by a licensed medical practitioner will be evaluated on a case by case basis. The employee shall provide, from the licensed medical practitioner the reasonable number of sick days per school year to accommodate their disability. The Board will establish the number of sick days required to earn an additional Personal Leave day based on the information received from the licensed medical practitioner. In any case once this information is provided to the employer, the number of required sick days to earn to the Personal Leave Day, will be increased for the employee with the disability. It is understood that employees who fail to provide the medical information will forfeit their right to an additional Personal Leave Day.
