Payment in Lieu of Benefits a) All employees not transferred to the Trust who received pay in lieu of benefits under a collective agreement in effect as of August 31, 2014, shall continue to receive the same benefit.

Part-time employees will receive twenty cents ($0.20) per hour in lieu of Extended Health Coverage (Semi-private; Hearing; Vision; Drugs and other extended health benefits), Dental Coverage, and Weekly Indemnity Coverage. The Employer will pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums towards a flat rate life insurance of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) for each part-time employee who has completed probation to replace existing life insurance coverage, if any. Effective August 1, 2017, part-time employees will receive twenty-five cents ($0.25) per hour in lieu.

(a) A part-time nurse shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to a nurse, paid in whole or part by the Employer, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, save and except salary, shift premium, vacation pay, standby pay, call-back pay, reporting pay, responsibility allowance, jury or witness duty, and bereavement pay) an amount equal to thirteen percent (13%) of his/her regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid.
